Pardon my french...what an a--hole!
"The nature of the listings that have dropped off are the ones that were not going to sell anyway," he says.
That is why I have approximately 600 ++ feedbaack. Because I didn't sell anything. God, I would not go back there if they did change policy. I would rather just garage sale it at Ebay and get into another line of business. These idiots are very business savvy, don't ya think???

The way they talk to and about people and the way they are conducting themselves is exactly why so many sellers feel revengeful. I know I do. I want more than anything for them to bury themselves and it won't be soon enough, to make me happy!

Did anyone notice the last part about how their strict TOS will stop offending violators? Only problem is so far they havent been clea ron what TOS the innocent sellers have violated. Dont you wish this guy, once yahoo goes bellyup, gets a job at ebays, thus killing them as well?

This is exactly the way Amazon handled it all and Amazon is STILL unwilling to admit they are wrong. Amazon could have been really big and Yahoo too! I guess they prefer to be wastelands to avoid the embarrassment of admitting their foopahs, eh?
Then egreed buys Up4Sale and shuts it down. Now egreed buys FairMarket. I thought there was a law about Monopolies? Doesn't it apply to cyberspace? Didn't Bill Gates have a legal problems over the same tactics egreed is pulling?
How can egreed go on and on getting away with this?

What I don't understand is, if they wanted us to leave why didn't they just email us?
This article makes for good light reading, well written and informative. If Mr Fitzgerald's word were only on real paper they could serve a genuine purpose...in the outhouse!
I take that back, they are already full of __IT

"The nature of the listings that have dropped off are the ones that were not going to sell anyway," he says. Meanwhile, he says, the experience of the remaining auctions has improved. The number of bids per auction has increased fourfold, he says. "It's a much more vibrant place because of it."
He just keeps rubbing salt in the wound, doesn't he?
"Advertising revenue for Yahoo! Auctions hasn't dropped, he said, even though traffic to the pages where ads are displayed, such as search-related pages, suffered."
Not only is he an uncompassionate boar with the tactless manner of Bill Maher, but he lies almost as effortlessly as our former First Couple.
"What I don't understand is, if they wanted us to leave why didn't they just email us?"
Yeah, or just terminate all our accounts. I wish they had let me know what they thought of me and my worthless listings 18 months ago. Instead of helping build Yahoo Auction, I could have lent my support to one of the other auction sites out there struggling to get a foothold.

Has anyone---journalist or AW member-----verified this assertion:
"Fitzgerald argues that more important yardsticks for Yahoo! Auctions' success are gross merchandise sales, or the aggregate dollar value of all auctions that close with a winner, and transaction volume, or the number of completed transactions. Fitzgerald says these numbers, which he didn't disclose, have stayed steady after the listing fees, maxing out at $2.25, were instituted in the middle of January."
He can make any statement he wants about how they are doing, so long as he doesn't disclose any numbers. Anyone calling him on this crap?

Ya know, I am reminded that the TITANIC did not carry enough lifeboats for the people that were on board. Yeah, they planned things that way too!
I can hear the Captain now, saying, " yeah we're gonna lose the people in steerage, but they didn't matter to the operation of the ship or our important passengers anyway."
Now any one of you, feel free to disagree if you like, but That is what I fell I am hearing from Yahoo.
