I was considering listing a couple of items on Yahoo auctions. Since I am new there, I have no feedback. Can I mention my eBay account? I've looked around the site, but can't find the answer. I don't want to start off on the wrong foot.

Or, should I just skip Yahoo and try somewhere else?

Yahoo! is not like eBay, yet. They do not restrict you from mentioning, or putting a link to, your FB file at eBay. Here is one way to do it.

YOUR LINK TEXT HERE

In place of URL HERE put the address URL to your ratings page at eBay. In the YOUR LINK TEXT HERE put what you want to say, such as 'Click here to view my eBay feedback'.

Hope this helps you. Good luck! Mint

Meya - I have Yahoo'ed for more than a year and have linked my ebay fb but lately people have been getting their acct's closed for reasons that are nebulous. I would suggest that you just write in the auction copy "check my 550 fb on ebay - user name blah blah blah" and that will do it, but not cause you a problem.

Good luck

Well, I opted to try Bidville. I have some items I've been making, so I have more than one. I guess I'm in a brave mood tonight, so I listed 3 items over there. We'll see.

Meya:

I started listing in quantity on Yahoo in October with zero feedback. I don't think my lack of feedback affected the bidding (perhaps because many of the items I was selling were not available from anyone else). I did state in my auctions that I was new to Yahoo but had built up a terrific feedback record elsewhere. I also showed my e-mail address in the auction description and invited potential bidders to e-mail me if they had any questions. No one ever did.

All my auctions on Yahoo are "1st Bid Wins" and that phrase is included in the auction titles (Yahoo allows a lot more room for titles). This type of auction, set for 10 days, works very well in the Yahoo environment.
