I just wanted to post this. I had a problem with with Yahoo's new auction manager program that popped up the other day. I called Yahoo and was given help by a very freindly person thier. A couple hours later my problem was fixed. Now today one of the software people called me to follow up onI think what had happened and wanted to make sure he had all the infomation so the glitch could be further looked into. He also wanted to make sure that I was able to enter auctions. Also he asked several questions about how the program could be improved and how I used it. I never got a call from any auction before like this. I really like the Yahoo sight and I hope they will change to allow the two auto relists to be free. I told that to everyone I talked to. Now for the not so good news, everyone I talked to had the impression that listings were increasing. I set them straight. They are still declining slowly and in a few months when summer hits they are going to lose half of what they have left at least. I even could see them going down another 70%. I think it is very important to have Yahoo succeed to the auction biz in general. I really hope people do not give up telling Yahoo again and again they need to adjust the fee's. In my opinion the 2 auto re lists being free would be enough but however you feel just keep telling them.

See what I mean Eddie? It was the same when I was talking to them. No matter what I set them straight on, they remained in their cloud kinda like they were programmed.

heygrape, It seemed to me that the people I was talking to did not really know the counts. It was like they just were believing what they were told and really did not know. They all knew that their had been a big drop but were under the impression that things were turning around. Now these were employee's in different area's. Nothing to do with managment. I was just trying to rally support for a positive change. Yahoo is still a great asset to me and I want it to stay that way but I honestly think that by the end of july Yahoo will be hosting under 75,000 auctions and it may be a lot less than that. Now this would be very easy to avoid. I think some action would have allready taken place but the current managment is either gone or has to be afraid to do anything right now. Plus their must be a void in direction right now with all the changes. I just hope they get someone to take the bull by the horns and tweek these fee's.

Eddie- I am astounded to hear that you had such a good experience with customer support! WOW! That sure beats the typical "Yahoobot" stories we are all so familiar with. Maybe that is a step in the right direction, towards better customer service.
Regarding the auction management software- I looked at it and might have tried it out, had there been a MAC version available. There isn't.
Regarding the listing fees- I think you are right, Yahoo should offer 2 free relists. I too agree that they are about to lose a lot more listings as credits run out and the summer slump approaches.
My credits are just about gone and when they are gone, so am I. I would actually stay and pay Yahoo if they would accept money orders. But since that doesn't seem likely, they will lose my listings too.

Be grateful you could get the auction management software to work. I downloaded it and couldn't even get it to open because it "can't connect to Yahoo", so I gave up.
My auctions last week closed with 45% sell-through (at bargain-basement prices). Tonight they closed with less than 15% sell-through, and my "hottest" listing closed without a bid at half price (the first time that's EVER happened). At this rate, two free relists wouldn't give my auction enough time to bring in a sale. It's not worth my TROUBLE now (though I still have feedback credits) because I'm not making enough profit to justify all the work involved (even with 'free' listings).
It's time for me to give up, put the books on half.com and/or Amazon Marketplace and put the collectibles on eGreed. I hate to admit it, but YaWho's dead for me.
Two months ago I predicted Yahoo Auction would lose 98-99% with its present fee structure, and I stick by my prediction. Come summer, there won't be more than 50,000 listings left (which will all be coins, sports cards, Barbies, and Dale Earnhart collectibles).
