Does anyone know if I can get Yahoo listing fees refunded. I have 3 non-paying bidders, sent the appropriate forms, still no response. I've scoured the site, and as usual with Yahoo, can find nothing I need! Why do they make it so difficult????

Amber-Yahoo does not refund on listing fees.

As far as they are concerned, you are renting "shop space". They don't care if you sell anything or if you get paid for what you did sell.

They have added that link that generates a reminder to the buyer that they owe you, but there is really nothing to back it up.

I am not sure they even keep track of the "non-performers" (buyer/sellers).

I have been instructed by Yahoo to leave appropriate FB and add them to my blacklist.

Lots of good that does for the "community".

Here's what Yahoo!Auctions typed out in the January 5 Yahoo!Chat:

candy_girl_1577 asks: When people don't pay for what they won in a auction, what do you do?
y_auctions_host: Our guest just got logged off, the question will be answered shortly
y_auctions_guest: As of January 10, we will have a deadbeat bidder complaint process in place.
y_auctions_guest: You will be able to notify us and apply for a listing fee credit.
y_auctions_guest: We also encourage you to use the rating system to help others in the Auctions community.
y_auctions_host: This next question will be the last one taken...

dimview-that's verrry interesting since my response from Yahoo (where I was told to leave FB & blacklist) was just over a week ago!

edited to add: They made no mention of me getting a credit of my listing fees and didn't point me to a "help" link about it either!!!

Yes, I had seen the same comment that listing fees would be returned, but I can get no response from Yahoo (nothing new), and I can't find it anywhere on the site.

They do keep it well hidden but here are the instructions to get listing refunds for deadbeats
http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/non_paying_bidder.html

Good Luck, it looks like you'll need it!

kasmoon, there is absolutely NOTHING in the link you posted pertaining to getting back your listing fees.

Kasmoon- Thanks for the link. I read that, but it does not say anything about getting fees back. Only that a user may be suspended if you follow all the steps and it happens 4 times.

Earlier after reading dimview's post, I emailed Yahoo again asking specifically how you get your fees back. I got a response in LESS than 1 hour from someone named Jennifer who said she was sorry the email address I had received from Yahoo for the bidder was not a working email address????? Then she included the link you included here. Can't find anything in writing EXCEPT that "chat" post referenced above that says ANYTHING about refunding listing fees! So I replied to Jennifer's email and included the link to the "chat" and asked AGAIN to tell me how to get my fee back. Haven't received a reply to that one........

edited for run-a-way UBB...

I have been told by 2 sellers they did get wallet credits after completing the steps on the page I first posted.

That link was found on this page
http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/fees.html
under this section:
"If the winning bidder doesn't pay, how do I get my money back?

Bid Limits is a policy we recently instituted to help minimize deadbeat bidding by inexperienced auction participants. We've also introduced a Non-paying Bidder Complaint process. If a winning bidder doesn't pay, the seller will be able to easily file an online complaint and receive credit for the listing fee." "

I have looked up and down Yahoo and the only place I could find to view my Wallet history is to click on a current auction of mine, then click on FEATURE AUCTION (bluffing of course) then click on the link called "Check My Current Balance".

I did that and since late February there are no credits, only debits for listing fees. Yet I have done the whole complaint and escelate the complaint process with half a dozen deadbeats recently. True some of them were free listings but one or 2 were listings done with funny money. I'd like to hear from somebody who says they received a credit here for listing fee refunded. perhaps you have to call the phone # there and request the refund? If so, be sure to use Yahoo Messenger to make the toll call for free.

To check your wallet balance simply click Options (next to sign out) then click Billing Summary. That page shows your current charges and their phone #. If you want to see older charges click the link that says Latest.

Luckily I haven't had a deadbeat on Yahoo in 6 months but here's what someone at Seller Zone posted about their refund.

"It came by filing a non-paying bidder complaint and then escalating it. I never emailed about it.
I just happened to be looking at my account today and noticed it. That auction closed on Feb.19, and the credit came in on Mar.14, so it took about 4 weeks."

If they cancel your auction because of a violation they will not refund the listing fee. This is a great way to make money. Offer a service for a fee, cancel the service, then keep the fee.

There is hope for Yahoo yet.

" Offer a service for a fee, cancel the service, then keep the fee" - Probably will be the only profit these morons will make by the time it's all over.

Well, I finally got a reply to by second attempt at a clear yes or no answer to the credit for auctions that ended with a non-paying bidder.

I still was not told yes or no or how-to.

I did get a sentence added before the link that kasmoonhas already posted.

It said simply:

"In addition to listing fees, Yahoo! offers our sellers a Non-paying
Bidder Complaint program. The seller will be able to use this process to
file an online complaint and receive appropriate credit for the listing
fee in the event a winning bidder doesn't pay. For more information on
how to file a complaint please visit:

http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/non_paying_bidder.html

Thank you for taking the time to write us."

Now, I still don't know if it will automatically be done IF you follow the steps all the way through or if there's another hoop we don't find out about until after the outlined steps are completed!

I already messed up on the 1st one by just cancelling and re-listing, but I have another one that I am going to persue exactly as outlined in the above link and see if I get a refund or not!
