kcpick4u - glad for you!
I am sick of auctions - on 95% hiatus. I am going to spend the spring / summer in the garden. It is so hard to build something with chunks coming down around you.

Well don't let it get you down! Yes, to survive it will require effort, However, If you do a little work you can find out what sells and where. I have been involved in resale for a number of years, sold mail order, booths in malls, sold at shows all over U.S., sold online, you name it. The simple fact remains junk never goes out of style. People still want it, you might have to take a look at what your selling and where. I am seeing a resurgence in area Antique shows in my area, many died off with the advent of ebay, now that online sales are wanning, shows are making a come back! So I will start doing a few again. You have to maintain the ability to change your course of action quickly! Look carefully in that herb garden you might find some of those halluicnogenic herbs. So how is rodent problem anyway?

no mice for a week now kc - we have the dog food in a steel can.
I doubt I will ever sell online again the way I have in the past. I was more like an opportunist as opposed to career. If the universe wants me to sell online, best dump a motherlode of goods in my lap because otherwise it is a going out of business sale at my leisure.
This is good news for a pro like you. The more people like me that clear out, the better.
This was a great way to make some bucks and stay home with my (small) children but barring a miracle, at this point I am looking for the door.
I don't feel down though. Not a chance of that. Eye on the horizon. Always.

Some times you just have to go on and do other things.
I am confident, that you will enjoy succes at what ever you do! I hope you don't leave these boards tho, that would leave us all down with a frown! You are quite entertaining you know, with all your (blathering), that is your mother lode of goods! Now take that luminous smile and go sell them!

I am also looking into other avenues that have peaked my interest lately. When the funny money is gone.... I'm going to work on other ways to do my thing.

Well now, nice to see yah VeryModern and glad to hear the metal can has helped,as far as mice goes.
I never went into the Star Trek, have one comic book that's in sad shape, and have no idea why I even keep it.
I do agree with VeryModern, the enjoyment of selling has sort of gone out the door.
It's such a fight to get a sale anymore, without it costing you an arm and a leg.
Went to a swap meet yesterday and didn't even care to find anything.
I have no idea if I will even sell after all the free bucks are gone on Yahoo, but have listed a ton of stuff on Bidville, figuring maybe somebody will find it, with the right links.
Guess this really does give me more time to quilt.

Yes, and without owning or wanting to own a credit card, you can't even try to sell anything on ebay and Yahoo.
I never could figure out why a seller has to have a credit card. I have read the arguments about how this is supposed to prove that the seller is real, but I get about 10 spam mailings a week from capital one trying to give me, my kids, my deceased mom and my two dogs all a free credit card. So what does having one of these pieces of plastic prove anyway?
