Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble getting into Yahoo? Been trying off and on since this afternoon with no luck. Rats--I have auctions ending...

We always have problems on weekends because of our location and Yahoo's location. California's "Rolling Electric Blackouts" are hurting us, Yahoo is located in Northern california where they are being hit the hardest with power outages so hang in there. We are in S. Cal, haven;t been hit as hard but I know when I have trouble accessing yahoo we get Emergency warnings on the news of turning our electric off to accomadate the problem.
Weeksends are now weekends for us, if I can't get online, I take the day off, it's hard to do but better then sitting and being frustrated. And some buyers dont respond anyway until the next business day.
another thing to try is be sure you sign out of yahoo, this is a biggie at times, when I have problems I usually sign out, then check my browser and clear the history and previously viewed pages to avoid conflict, then sign back in. Sometimes it works wonders, most the time it is easier to just shut down and try again later.

Thanks for the tips, rollanotherone. I finally gave up trying last night but got in okay this morning. I never thought about your power problems. Here in rural Illinois, the only power problem we have is figuring out how to pay the outrageous bill! (But from what I've heard, your power is higher than ours so I guess we shouldn't complain. We did actually hit $800.00 one month a few years back when the weather had been horrribly cold!)
Anyway, thanks!

Wow, our electric has never been over $100 yet the new 42% increase may do that this summer and am not looking forward to that since most of CA will be eating power with the airconditioning running 24/7 to keep alive. Hopefully a solution will be available before then.
Another thing I did to cover myself is in Yahoo's auto email to buyers I have a note that if I dont contact them withtin 24 hours or if it is a weekend there may also be a delay so the buyer wont think I'm a flake if problems arise, I myself like to make an immediate contact if possible, unfortunately it is not always easy to do so. I believe Yahoo's guidelines is 3 business days for a seller to contact a buyer so I have learned worrying only will make me sick.
