Ok, I broke down having a little money to lose and listed 14 items on Yahoo last week. Amazed, 10 of the 14 got bid on! I dont get it. What the heck? There were times I had 600 items up and not 10 bids. and yes it was the same ummmm "junk" that Yahoo did not want before. Minor league team sets and such.

Yahoo's fees are a joke. If I was paying to list I would list on eBay where they have real traffic. Listing on Yahoo now is short sighted. If you consider Yahoo's current fees and sale thru rates an alternative to eBay, you must be confused.

Ballsandstrikes:
My sales have been very good (I'm still using up credits) since fees were implemented but are slowing down now (normal this time of year for my type of item).
That's why I try to keep emotion out of business decision making. It often leads to assumptions that turn out to be false. I was surprised when my auctions did well - but I would never have found out if I hadn't tried listing.

I've found no better no worse as far as sales, but not listing a ton of stuff.
Have decided on one item a day and be done with it, using as exposure to other sites by possible lookers on the item that ends every day....
I do find though that sales can be better and more will pay with yahoopaydirect at certain times of the month.
It's as if people get a pay check and then go out buying...

I am a newbie at this but have had better luck with Yahoo..it seems there is so much on eBay you would have to browse for hours to see anything. I put a list of many unusual salt shakers on eBay recently and not one bid. I put one pair of them on Bargain and Haggle and it was sold in 2 hours.I like Bargain and Haggle.
I have also had unusual things on eBay at good prices which got no bids and the auctions closed (6 signed Eisenhower prints, six Scottish lithographs (at one third their appraised value) and 5 Maisto Harley Davidson replicas for example. Zilch.
Very discouraging.
There have also been a number of other items on eBay without success.
I am hanging in there..I love this biz!
