Please tell me why my images show up in my auctions, but not in a yahoo search result. Never noticed this before, just happened to do a search on something and my auction was there without a photo, so went and checked out my other auctions and ditto.

I have the same problem occasionally with YAHOO pictures. They are in my ad, but do not show up in my booth (pictures only) or in the catagory.
My first indication there will be a problem with a picture is when as I upload the picture, the link appears, but not the picture under it. If the picture does not pop up, it will not show in the booth or catagory or possibly the picture search.
To fix this, I have occasionally used the 2nd or 3rd picture if they show up (pop up under the link when uploading).
If I have only one picture or none of the pictures show up, I retake the picture with more color in the pix, and sometimes reduce the size.
My pictures that don't show up are usually pictures that are very pale, or monotone (little contrasting color), or are very wide.

Thanks Watafind, Yahoo tell me that their system has difficulty creating a thumbnail image, due to the size and /or shape of the photo. They advise that the photo is more than 32 pixels high, and less than 600 pixels wide. Also the heigth to width ratio should be less than 2.5 to 1.
Now I see my problem I think.... I changed it so auction watch would not scale down my images because I wanted a little bit bigger pictures, but not to big that they take long to load. Also when I size my pictures for the web I always go by size say 3X4" or so on. I don't go by pixels I go by inches,but always make sure that is is less than 600k in size. I guess that is my problem. I guess I have to learn more about sizing to pixels.

I am having the same problem with the pictures not showing up in search, and also it does not show that I accept paydirect payments, it shows it on the auction, but not on the search pages.??? any help to explan this one ?? thanks wrightsracing

PayDirect emblem not showing up is another problem I have had.
To "Fix" that problem I had to quit using a gallery (this has happened with other add-on like PayPal logo Payment).
Most of the time I would just end up with no PayDirect or other payment description - however sometimes I ended up with only the picture and the gallery in the description area.
This happened on Ebay also.
I contacted YAHOO & was told that the "add-on" was inteferring with the ad.
I contacted the gallery gurus & they said the gallery should not do that, they were only adding on at the end of the description.
I ended up cancelling the gallery, not using Logo Payments & no problems now.
