I don't know John's timeframe for updating his graph, but the April 17 count looked to be around 190,000 auctions.
We can have some fun speculating though.
My guess? Yahoo!Auctions currently has around 175,000 auctions.

Dtmagazine updates & posts the counts for all sites every Wednesday. For several weeks they've been carrying the 3/28 Yahoo total with no current #'s. I don't know why, I guess they find it a waste of time to visit Yahoo anymore (much like the bidders!)
We trust Dimview as our #'s guy here. I know he's only guessing but he's probably close. And probably 170,000 of them are only there because of free credits.

I forgot to add
While viewing an ad I clicked a sellers other auctions link and it showed 600 listings! For most sellers (since fees) I'm used to seeing 1-15 so I was really shocked. Sorting by bids showed they had 5 but that part sadly wasn't shocking. My guess is they are anxious to waste away the rest of their credits quickly and get the heck outta Dodge. Sounds like a reasonable plan to me.

I'm only using up my funny money, too. When my cigarette coupon auction got canceled by yahoo, at least it didn't hurt much.
Made me mad, but it was only funny money.
My books sold 2 out of 8. Not very good at all. Everything get's listed on ebay now. Sell through is 50% first time around. For the 2nd listing I change the title and add another book. That sure works great.
My inventory is becoming managable. Pretty soon I can even go out and buy some more!!!!
The "old" red line corresponds to the scale on the left side of the graph. When the count got so low that it became next to impossible to see the tiny changes, John began a "new" green line that has its scale on the right side of the graph.
The green line looks like it hit a low of 175,000 to 180,000 listings a week or so ago, with some 190,000 listings currently.
