Yahoo has restricted titles to 50 characters.

Didn't bother to tell anyone in advance, but then again, who are they gonna tell?

So few Yahoo anymore!

Where did you read that???

I can't even find the link to Yahoo's Announcement Board anymore---did they move it from their Auction homepage and put it somewhere else? I went through the motions of resubmitting a listing, and the software didn't tell me to shorten the title (it's maximum length, 80 characters). When does this change go into effect???

Being able to write long auction listing titles was one of the features that made Yahoo Auction more seller-friendly than eBay---that along with being able to choose minimum bidder ratings, length of auction (2-14 days), and ending time, as well as the free "gallery" photo viewing.

Of all the changes YaWho COULD be making to improve their Auction, shortening title lengths isn't one of them.

granee-the only way I can get to the announcement board is through the site map!

I agree with you on the title. It was so nice to actually have a title that didn't look like a secret code!

Yes, the site map seems to be the only way to access the Announcement Board now. The 50 character max is listed eff. 5/3. I guess they didn't care to announce that they dropped the Excellent & Poor ratings system.
