Varies from city to city. Call your local city office for info and guidelines.

Good Luck

More than likely you'd need a city permit to distribute flyers in public places or on cars.

In the cities I have lived in there wasnt a fee for it just a stamp of approval from the city.

Anyone without a permit could be fined for littering if those unapproved flyers were found on the ground.

I'm from Southern California if that makes a difference.

I belonged to many non-profit youth groups and we always got approved.

You don't need a permit to hang the doorknob signs that pizza delivery folks hang since they arent on the ground littering technically.

But if you want to post it on cars in parking lots then you'd definately need a permit.

I did that once and never will again. You may not like the response you will get. It's not worth it!

alot of parking lots are private property so you may need to get aproval first. As far as homes, there shouldn't be a need for a permit of any kind unless there is a home owners association that has rules against it. I wouldn't worry too much about it though if you ever get caught it's usually just a warning or a chewing out.

Re homes... just don't put them in the mailbox.
