Received following email from one of my Yahoo bidders: Sorry I do not plan to pay.
It was a fault bid, I was drunk.
SORRY!
At least he apologized! Anybody else get this excuse for not payment. I am done with Yahoo!

You could say it was a great day, at least the guy had the GUTS to email you and let you know that he was not sending you a payment for the item he won. I know that you would like to sell the item, but at least you know this is not going to be a sale, and you can relist it. I had a bidder do just this to me a few days ago, I was mad that the sale did not go threw and I was out my listing fee, but at least he was honest and up front, and did not leave me out to dry for days, weeks, or months, by wasting more of my time.I was thank ful to him for sending me the email. good luck to you on yahoo. thanks. have a great night

I clicked to report it in when I got that. I told them it was the only way to get back my money for the listing fees and that any problems they have with their account from the report is their problem, not mine.

As far as I know there is no listing fee refund. Yahoo will happily refund the FVF but that's 0.

As soon as you escalate the complaint the credit shows up in your wallet.

Pfi850: One non paying bidder causes you to decide to stop selling at an auction site? Ummm, O.k.

No, this is just typical. I have experienced a 70% deadbeat rate on Yahoo.

at least you got a response!!
i hate the NPB's that are too chicken *BLEEP* to respond to you or else tell you lies about family deaths, auto accidents, or even "my dog was hit i'm too upset to deal with this right now, contact me again in a few weeks"
jump ship and head on over to epier.com...no listing fees!!! no restrictions!!
sorry but there are still NPB's there too...wish there was a way to get rid of them!!

pfi850 is right. The deadbeat bidder rate on Yahoo is terribly high!

Dont be too hard on the people that have had hardship in their family. i am a seller in auctions under a different name and i as a seller had to email people and apologize to them for their items being late because we have had a few deaths in the family and have been called out of town on family medical. Our rottweiler had been poisoned and we spent all day at the vets hoping for the best for him and failed to get the packages out that day. People do have hardships and even if it is an animal.. it is still heartbreaking. so try to be more understanding with these so called excuses because not everyone uses them as excuses. it is THE TRUTH!!

I had only two deadbeats on Yahoo. Actually better than eBay, alas there were no fees back then. Once you get charged fees, the deadbeats increase....

That one is better than the one I got, "I was at the mall today and bought the same item at the store, I no longer want yours, I don't need two."
