every week i am seeing more and more sellers jumping off ebay and having to go get a 40 hour week job...kinda scary, i am even thinking about it...

Fortunately my sales and profits are good enough where I'm not forced to look for a job. However, I am weighing the beneifits of a job vs online auctions. I'm doing auctions because there's a higher degree of satisfaction, but getting net profits to the level of income bringing home a paycheck would cause that satisfaction to drop. I have serious doubts that selling the common items for mass sales is the way to go. Right now I sell unique items generally one by one.
I'm pretty certain if I received a job offer today I would take it.

I basically stepped back from auctions due to 2 big moves
1st one from VA to FL in March
2nd from FL to GA in May
And from one serious case of total burn out from everything in the world.
As an adult category seller it was like a stake in the heart when they added fees on Yahoo and a twist of the knife when they closed that category. I was doing quite well there and didnt need a regular job on Yaho sales alone.
So when I am mentally ready I'll get back into auction sales but for now I'll be selling in small batches on Ebay.
