I was just reading the latest Yahoo newsletter and clicked on the link for the new 99 Cents Showcase:

http://user.auctions.yahoo.com/showcase/99noreserve

There appear to be lots of bids, particularly for certain types of items. If you have that type of inventory, it might be worth while doing some further research to see if the bids are due mainly to the promotion or whether those specific types of items normally do well on Yahoo.

I just looked at this sale and it looks like anything goes. I would like to list a few things before it ends on the 8th. Do you know if I can do this using the Seller's Manager program? I didn't see any box to check for Showcase items? I just hate having to create and list while on line.

Hi Friends: I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this sale. I've been posting all kinds of items on the .99cent. I don't have exact stats but many items have already sold and bidding is up on all my items. So.. anything goes is my opinion.

Don't use the seller manager. I did a test. It doesn't do the showcase items. Too bad. I am listing my .99c individually. Oh well...

Happy Selling

O.K. I just went to the .99 page and posted an auction but it did not come up on the .99 page. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you select the 99¢ option in the feature section when you created the auction?

So far a bust for me unless the next few days picks up. One bid so far at .99¢.

Hi everyone,
Also, someone else pointed out that Yahoo is rotating the 99c banner w/the Planet of the Apes banner. Doesn't seem right they do that since we are paying to be in the 99c showcase but what can ya do?

Have a good week.

In answer to the question, here's what's selling on Yahoo:

- bootleg videos
- pirated CD's
- illegal software
- Hong Kong pirated DVDs
- Trademark and Copyright infringing home made televsion series' episodes

(btw ... don't report the sellers to Yahoo or they will turf you, not the seller)
