i have a yahoo shop and one customer bot twice from me,one time it was paid via yahoo direct and second one was paid for via paypal.
the second one involves 5 teapots in their own cartons/
she claimed 2 were broken and refused to go to her post office to file claim as she claimed post office will take all 5 away from her,not to mention it is too much work for her.
the way she described how one was broken can only happen if there were severe blow to whole shipment and there should be evidence of such on the outside.
she refused to return the 2 broken teapots in the original box used in shipping ,in stead she used a new box and have the broken teapots insured, all the packing she has done fullfill usps requirement for good packing.
i took them to the post office and file claim,i have not heard from usps yet.
but on 8/7 i shipped her the replacement teapots usps insured in priority box-the big size one for 100 dollars.
okay now she claimed she did not get the teapots and want her money back .
we have to wait 30 days to file loss claim, now the question is-
the blue usps insurance slip is trackable within usps and post office would not deliver until someone signed for it,thats the difference between blue and green insurance slips.
it does not take 20 days to deliver an usps priority shipment to indiana.
a large usps priority box seldom get lost.
now if she keeps insisting she did not receive it,and i file claim, would usps trace from the insurance slip to whoever signed for it?
if she signed for it and now signed the loss form that she did not get it,that is mail fraud?
if i keep submitting claims like that, wont usps suspect the two of us are into something??
is this woman nuts?or just getting carried away ??

If you have blue stub I think you can go to usps website and enter tracking number and see if it arrived

the usps website does not track insurance blue slip number,i have already tried that.
this is a number which usps can track internally, not us the consumers.
i did not take out delivery confirmation as i think it would be an overkill,i ship usps always and it is hard to think a large usps priority box get lost.
i am afraid i have been targeted by someone whose motive is not purchase but fraud.
at this point i have no assurance i will get my money back from usps for the 2 broken teapots as they can always said where is the original box used for shipping??
if she claims she did not receive her replacement teapots,i will have to file claim again, one of us or both are going to look bad.
i am afraid this is not the first or the last time she does this, she thought i shipped UPS,i dont think UPS will take customer to court for small claim(100),but US POST OFFICE FRAUD INVESTIGATION wield a big stick.
a few years ago,i used to get phone calls from ebay bidders who claimed the rhino i sold him has manufacturing defect if you look up side down under his belly,so how about a 15 dollars refund?
or the elephant broke its leg and i have it repaired so well usps will never be able to tell it is brokem,so how about you give me some money back??
but this one is more persistent and vicious, must be desperate!!!!!!!

hwahwahwahwa,
It is also my understanding that if you have the blue insurance slip, that number is also a tracking number that can be used at the USPS site. Just plug it in like D/C - try it.

Hey there.
I recently had a situation similiar to this with a missing package and a blue insurance receipt. I ship lots of stuff out of the post office so they all know me and dive to try to get away from having to process my packages. The postmaster can use the number on your blue insurance receipt to track it. The clerks probably cannot and you cannot through their website. I would recommended leaving a note with the postmaster so they can check on it. They can see if some one signed for it or if it was scanned in at a post office.
In my situation the winning bidder got one of those cards that you needed to sign but did not have a clue as to what to do with it. Must have been their first insured package. It turned out that the package was sitting at their post office for two weeks while the winning bidder sent me nasty e-mails wondering when their package was going to arrive.
Sounds like your "winning" bidder is yanking your chain. Beware of charge backs from your paypal payment. Save your insurance receipt on this one for two years in case Paypal needs to see it one day.
Priority mail can take a while to get there. I mailed from Indiana to Virginia on 8/21/01. It arrived today. Others have taken a month.
Good luck.

priority mail is supposed to be 3-5 days,
not one month ,especially if it is their own blue and red and white big box??
yes,i will keep receipt forever.
