I just reconciled my bank statement and found out a yahoo paydirect fund transfer has not shown up in my bank account-
on 7/20/01 a customer paid me using yahoo paydirect 278.93 is the total.
i accepted the fund on the same day and proceed to move it to my bank account.
well, today is 8/23/01 and on yahoo paydirect account,it said STATUS IS FUND PENDING??
WHAT DOES IT MEAN-FUND PENDING??
is there a problem with the money i received?
or is it a problem of yahoo not doing its job.
i know this bank transfer work as it worked last month.
i am worried because this customer has given me reason to doubt her intention, can she be blocking the transfer??the fund was received into my account on 7/20 and i requested it to be moved to my bank account on the same day, what is holding this transaction up>?
thanks,any insight

It may be because of the large amount of the payment, or the total amount you've RECEIVED in the last six months through PayDirect. There are limits to BOTH the amount of an individual PayDirect payment, and to the amount you can receive (or charge on your CC) during a time period.

Log on to your PayDirect account and click on the links to see if you can spot the problem. If not, you may have to call PayDirect and ask them.

I CAN ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.
PLEASE READ, I AM THE PIANO PLAYER SO DON'T SHOOT ME !!!

Paypal takes 3-4 days for a transfer to bank account, sometimes less.

Paydirect takes from 7-10 days to transfer to bank account, sometimes less.

Pending means in transferring status, it takes that amount of time to complete the
proper transfer.

reason behind this;

now my personal opinion for what it is worth,
i believe each company has a set time they want to make sure funds are their with no problems between buyer and seller before letting go to transfer the funds, this is my personal opinion on transfer status between companys.

i have used paypal, and paydirect for many transactions, they are safe to use.

keep in mind you need to use a little common sense,
1) use a bank account seperate from your own, in other words an account just for on line business use.
2) never accept unverified payments, if you do your taking the risk.
3) remember when accepting payments from an e-check, even tho it is electronic payment, it still takes up to a week for it to clear before transfer can start, the company will let you know if it is a credit card, or a e-check being used to pay for the auction win.

i am eating my breakfeast, and anymore information i will give out will make me look like a nerd, so i will stop here, and that will ne $50.00 for this session !!!
just kidding;
good luck

thanks for the insight, fund transfer requested on 7/20 and my bank statement cut off is 8/16/01 and this is almost one month.
i have a yahoo shop and there are often finger pointing among yahoo, paymentech (bank one) and monetta which provides online viewing of activities.
all fingers pointed to yahoo for not submitting batches ,not doing this and that.
since yahoo does not answer email promptly,it just makes things worse for itself

Here are two phone numbers taken from previous threads. Try the toll-free number first, so you won't have to pay for a long distance phone call:

408-731-3335

1-877-521-1458

thanks everyone,i wish i have waited for the toll free number.
i called them and was placed on hold for a long time, someone took the info and said he will get back to me.
another person called just now and said there was some problem with batches on that day (days) and the transaction was lost.
so he advanced me the money so i can pay my bills.
he also suggested i add check card to my yahoo paydirect account as the network for money flow is mush faster for credit/debit card than the traditional bank transfer business.
so it has been resolved, thanks all.
(this is not the first time i heard yahoo has problem with their batches)

Debit card/credit card link is the fastest way for me. Never takes more than 24 - 48 hours.

I have a Visa debit card registered with PayDirect to withdraw my funds, and I always receive the money in my bank account in just two days.

I've always wondered why everyone here complains about the slow transfers from PayDirect to their bank accounts, when my transfers are so QUICK, so I guess the debit card speeds the transaction up quite a bit.
