Question: I read somewhere (have no clue where) I'm sure I read somewhere that a Yahoo seller had a NEG comment removed from their feedback listing because the bidder was using harrassing words and that it was retaliation feedback or something like that.

Anyway.. has anyone out there been able to get Yahoo to do this? Do you know someone that did?

Thanks.
Have a Good Auction Week!

I have had a couple of Negs removed. You must
be very patient as it will take a while to do this. You will need a VALID reason and full documentation. The last one was a bidder who threatened me with Neg if I didn't leave them a Positive. They used the buy it now and then refused to pay but still wanted a Positive feedback. I sent Yahoo copies of every threat with all the headers. It took over a month but they finally removed the neg from this deadbeat. I have also had negs removed by Ebay but this is a very hard process and you have to a valid reason for this. If the person has registered with a invalid phone number or address it is reason for Ebay or Yahoo to remove the feedback.

eBay removed negative feedbacks when obscenities or personal info such as a phone number were part of the feedback or the response to the feedback. They had no way to remove just part of the feedback/response so the entire feedback was removed. That was quite a while ago and they may have remedied that loophole by now.

Yes, it's true. I had one negative removed because the deadbeat bidder used profanity. Even though the offending words weren't spelled out (think abbreviations and words partially masked out with "@#$!" characters), they still removed it. Unfortunately, they won't remove negative feedback comments just because they're retaliatory, unjustified, and/or downright lies.

It's like a cop looking the other way as a criminal robs a bank, only to arrest him for jaywalking on the way to his getaway car. heh..
