Been testing out Yahoo over the past few weeks and have been wondering how accurate the page views totals are that are listed on each auction? I know there are far fewer listings on Yahoo, so it makes it easier to search our items, but my counts are much higher(almost 3-4 times) my page view from ebay. Sales seem to be about the same, with only one deadbeat so far. Just wondering if the page views are really that high, or if they are perhaps spidering the auctions looking for non-conforming listings.

Lately they have been super low for me. Sometimes a 10 day auction will get only 1 pageview ( seller doesn't trip counter like on eBay's Honesty counters ). Sometimes there are 40 views and no bids. Bidding activity is very low at Yahoo now for me, the worst I've ever seen there.

Back a few months ago, I noticed very high page views on my auctions. I got very excited (thinking maybe the thinning had indeed helped). When I noticed the high numbers starting to appear, I added honesty counters to my auctions for a two week period. I discovered that Yahoo counters were actually lower than what the honesty counters showed. Not much difference but in each case the Honesty counters showed 3-5 more hits than Yahoo's counters!

My Yahoo auctions are not that bad
I sold 15 items in usa side
and sold 25 to 35 items in canada side
the cost is low, and not much work
most of my auction 99% in ebay
but for me, yahoo is a bonus
and I seen it has traffic, not that bad
so I increase few hundreds in yahoo
see what happen
ebay will be slow for a while
now I concentre the canada side
it really not bad in ebay.ca and yahoo.ca

This is a really good question!
I haven't done any experiements ... but I now wonder. My hits have been really really high too. Sometimes over 350. Are they accurate? I'm not sure. One thing I'm pretty confident in is the "Item watched". On several of my most popular auctions I've seen this go as high as 10.
Sales are consistent with the views so far.
I'm doing pretty well w/Yahoo since coming back in January.
