Gee, has everyone left Yahoo? For a while, this board was very active and I enjoyed visiting. But lately, there's not enough activity to keep the blood flowing!
Anyone but me still listing on Yahoo? Or has everyone moved to Bidville? I know I recognize some of the items listed there, but am not seeing any new listings in the categories I regularly check. So where is everyone, I miss you!

You're right. The buzzing sounds of a bee hive have turned into the occasional chirping on a lonely cricket in here. There's not much to write about for Yahoo. I wonder what percentage of items get bids? I had a n auction with a bid recently and saw it on a hot list, all the other items on the list had only one bid also.

Still here, still plugging along. Have to admit I've been distracted the last 10 days, as I'm sure we all have. Plus I've spent most of my time reading the Auction For America fiasco on the ebay board. Not that's a juicy soap opera.

I sell primarily to have something to "do". Lucky, too, that I do not need to produce income from this to survive on!
I just finished my 1st round ever without a single item selling! Not one single bid and very few "looks"! Normally I average about 75 views per item. This round the average was 15!!!!
On the round that ended last Thursday, I have had two winners ask if they could please cancel their wins because they did not feel it was prudent for them to be spending money on non-essentials at this time. They are worried about what tomorrow will bring.
I am afraid we will see more of this thinking as time wears on....I am not sure Yahoo Auctions (or the smaller sellers on Yahoo Auctions anyway) can weather this!
I will not be listing again until I see an improvement in auctions with "real" bids in my category. Currently it's pretty flat. In Fine Jewelry>Rings there are currently 1532 items listed with 151 showing bids (many still below reserve and 56 of those are auctions from Premium Sellers).
Then you have the usual auctions showing a bid and an unbelievably "high" current price from new or relatively new sellers. More than likely if you checked their FB you would find the only person who had ever left them FB before was their current High Bidder. Some things never change....
edited 'cause I had a bit too much identifing info and that's against the rules...

Sales have been steady if not outstanding-other than last week. I am trying to decide if I want to go all out listing for Christmas. It will mean using up credits and possibly even having to spend money-don't know if it's worth that!
