Wasn't the guy brought onboard as the head of Yahoo!Auctions championed for his engineering a turnaround at Egghead?

Maybe they shouldn't have let him go?????

Also if I was Fry, I don't think I would be comforted by this quote from your linked article:

"Fry's doesn't have any online experience to date," Keenan said. "Because they are a neophyte in e-commerce, they must retain Egghead staff."

Soooo, they have to keep the guys responsible for running Egghead into Chapter 11 to show them how to run an e-commerce venture?????
