I don't think so. Yahoo did have a promotion where they gave credit to go toward featuring your Yahoo auctions based on your eBay positive FB, but I'm not sure they gave you a Yahoo FB # from the get go. Maybe someone who did it will come along and explain that better.

You can't put a link to your eBay FB in your auctions, but you could maybe put something in your "About Me" profile and give your eBay ID for them to check you out. That may not be strickly "legal", but I have seen other sellers doing it and nobody has made them stop yet.

I have also noticed, that Yahoo buyers don't really seem to be too concerned about low FB or even NEG FB! There also seems to be a lot of new buyers on Yahoo. In the last month I was the 1st person to leave FB for 4 "new" users!

Spend a bit of time in your category looking at current seller's FB and you'll see what I mean.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

Sulyn is, as usual, right on the money. In your terms of service paragraph ( keep it short!) just insert something like 'check my over 500 positive feedback rating on ebay'. That will let them know, as most people don't read the about me page.

Again, though, as she said, buyers on yahoo don't seem to let negative feedback bother them much. The experienced buyers know that yahoo people are notorious for giving petty and undeserved negative feedback. And Yahoo's system allows them to keep up an argument for pages and pages!

Good luck! You will find that Yahoo is really more laid back than Ebay, and the sellers on here are great about giving advice. Not nearly so cutthroat as Ebay can be.

Yahoo actually did do this, but it was in the fall of 1998. They got a letter from ebay's legal department and decided to stop allowing people to import their ebay feedback ratings.

As a reverse side note to this thread, do not attempt to import feedback ratings to eBay via the "Feedbacksite.com" logo. Ebay will warn you then cancel your auctions if you continue to use that logo. The Feedback site is owned by the owner of BidVille, yet there is no mention on the Feedbacksite.com that it is illegal by ebay standards to use their logo on eBay. Seems like a big disservice to it's members to not warn them.

When I came back over to Yahoo, I used that site and put it's url on my "about me" page. When I read how eBay was not only NOT letting you put the link in your auctions, you could not export your FB from them either, I decided to just take it off my profile page. When it first came out, it appeared to be an independent service that I figured was OK, that's why I used it. You are right, BidVille should inform it's users that EXPORTING their FB from eBay is against eBay's rules also!

eBay does NOT like to share anything....

I'm not sure how all this "stuff" works, but I read somewhere (probably right here on AW)that to get that info, feedbacksite.com has to "crawl" the auction sites. I can see why eBay or Yahoo might not like that....I don't like crawly things either!!!! Gives me the willies just thinking about them!

When I first started selling seriously on Yahoo a year ago, I added a sentence to my auctions that said simply that I was new to Yahoo but had great feedback elsewhere and to e-mail me for details. No one ever did e-mail me and removed the sentence from my auctions about 2 months later.

Do your self a favor! Don't list your ebay feedback any where except ebay! It's against their TOS. You could get suspended for it. So if you wish to keep selling on ebay also, don't do it!!
