EBAY started out as a fabulous avenue for antiques and collectible buyers and sellers-EBAY is fast deserting us for the shopping mall mindset- That is their perogative BUT what I cannot understand is why YAHOO which is the logical heir to the antique- collectible auction market does not actively pursue it-If they put out the word to the media I am sure that the buyers and sellers would come running-

I would also come back to Yahoo if they went to a reasonable FVF and no listing fee. I used to run quite a few auctions on Yahoo before the fees started.

I think I'd run every auction I do through Yahoo if the fees were changed to FVF's. I like the sellers I've encountered there as they seem more loyal. It's just that it can take quite a few listings to move items. I have no problem with FVF's as I think it's a win-win for both the seller and the auction site.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that the latest discussions of Yahoo revamping their fees possibly leads to something like this.

YAHOO not only has to revamp it's fee structure but it has to get the word out to the public that it is viable competition to EBAY- EBAY has become almost a generic word for online auctions- That is what has to change-Yahoo has do a media blitz to get the buyers and a revised fee structure to get the sellers- Should not be too hard to do but they have to but they have to get their heads out of the clouds-
