I don't think Yahoo will do anything for you or even respond to complaints. Forget them.

Do you fund your Pay Pal account with a credit card? If you do, that card company is far and away your best friend now. Contact them immediately. Pay Pal will yammer to you that they don't "advise" a chargeback. Dooh!
Do it anyway, but be prepared to give up your Pay Pal account... I'd close it down right away and be certain they had no way to recover a chargeback by taking funds from your bank account, for example.

You might also post in the Pay Pal thread here in Auction Watch "Partner Services" category, begging for Paypaldamon's help. Just be sure you call your card company, too, and do a chargeback with them within their time limits without letting Pay Pal stall you like the seller did.

If you used a Pay Pal account funded by your bank account alone, with no credit card involved, you're likely just out the money.

patriceann,

Do as pyth00n has recommended. You have very little time left to do a charge back if you used a credit card. From your post, the complaint has been filed with PayPal for over 30 days. To do a charge back, in most cases it needs to be done within 60 days from the time it appeared on your credit card statement(some companies might have a longer period of time). Yes pyth00n is correct about PayPal in that they will attempt to recover when you do a charge back. I would also recommend closing any thing connected with your PayPal account--bank account and credit card--

Check their feedback. Any other complaints against them for this type of thing? If not, give them the benefit of the doubt. Mail really does get lost! I've had items show up two months later.

I thought it was part of Paypals vaunted TOS that they will not take money from your checking account that you have not authorized. After all, they don't seem to take any from the sellers that commit fraud. Same thing with the credit card.
