Well, I am ashamed to say that I have never listed on Yahoo before, but with FLD I thought I’d give it a shot. And Holy Smokes, the listings were still warm from the launch, and I already have multiple bids. Maybe I’ve been missing the boat, not spreading my self around? Oh, well, live and learn!!

I believe many sellers are missing the boat. They have themselves afraid to try another auction venue. The new search box on the main yahoo page is great. I hope TAG reports the listings counts since the FLD.

I listed over 60 items on free listing day and have bids already. Of course I started them at rock-bottom prices to attract some action. We will just have to wait and see what happens. I usually don't get muliple bids on Yahoo but perhaps this time around is different. Good luck to all!

I went the traditional Yahoo Auctions route with my FLD auctions. That would be the expect only one bid and set a buy price about 10-20% above the opening price. Two items sold with Buy Price and one item has a bid so it's a good start.

Yahoo should do free listing days once a month for the next year, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do. The amount of new sellers it draws plus bringing back the one's who left would make a surmountable attack on ebay. Not to mention it takes away auctions that I would have listed on ebay.

Hey, I have already have had a buy it now and another bid in less than 18 hours. But then again, I am not too surprised. I found out many of the quality buyers never left the site when the junk sellers left the site. Glad to be able to list items affordably again.

I had a bid in under 30 minutes through buy it now. I didn't even have time to import all the auctions by the time I was selling things. Now 1 day later 2 BIN's and several bids all over

I like the one FLD a month for a year idea and also wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.
5 Buy It Now Sales and 1 other item with a bid so far on FLD listings. PayDirect payment already too.

I hope they keep it once a month. When yahoo began charging fees many of the junk sellers fled to bidville. SO that was a good move on yahoo's part, but even charging the current fees would have chased them off. Speaking of bidville over 1/2 is sports cards? According to the site I guess its true. I do see some cheap books I like at bidville. I may have to open an account!

I also like the FLD listing idea, but would alter it just a bit. I would make it every other month. That way, the junk sellers would be less inclined to list items. If it were once a month, they could list their crap for 10 days, give it a little time and throw them right back on. Thus turning Yahoo back into a junk yard like it was before listing fees. If it was every other month, the junk auctions would be in check as they would show up only once every other month and most likely, not that many.

PS: And Blairwitch, I think you are quite conservative on your estimate on sports cards at bidville. That site is great for those items, but completely bites if you have anything else to offer. If you don't do the sports cards thing, then don't bother. Stick with Yahoo.
