I have several of a same item and since Yahoo is doing a free listing day I was figuring to list each one of my widgets individually to get more exposure as opposed to a dutch auction. Is this a good idea?

That is a pretty good idea to list many of them. I would stagger your closing times and days that they run though. That way you won't have them competing as much with each other.
Good luck,

Sometimes I wonder if the recent Dutch Auction sizeable fee increase was to break up some or most of the Dutch Auctions and force them to list individual auctions. Less confusing for buyers and a higher auction total. The next step may be to outlaw the Dutch Auctions on ebay altogether.
Whatever happens on eBay can happen on Yahoo so it's not totally off topic.
