I finally got around to downloading the Yahoo Auction Manager bulk loader and the longest auction duration option I see available is 10 days. For two years now I've heard that there was a 14 day option with the bulk loader. Is that option still available?

Is the old bulk loader still available or did they grandfather it in? I saw no link to download the old bulk loader, only the manager tool that mentions bulk loading.

You are better off at 10 days anyway. If your item doesn't sell on the first try, it may have been a bad ending day. A different ending day often will get bidders that aren't able to be on thier computer on your original ending day. At 14 days, your auctions always end on the same day of the week missing those unable to be on because of work, clubs, sports, whatever the reason. Those people will look on different days. I have found using 5 days works well for me, but 10 might be better for you.

I don't think many of the little things that seem so important on eBay pertain to Yahoo. I sell everything with a BIN price a little higher than the starting price so the buyers can have an opprotunity to avoid a long wait at a very small extra charge. I'd like to list 300 or 400 items at a whack and the extra 4 days would help keep the items on the 'store shelf' known as Yahoo that much longer. 95% of my items are under $10 and even a nickel a pop adds up fast so the extra 4 days would allow time to sell more items.
The "old" bulk loader is not a program that you download. There is a link on the "My Auctions" page for the bulk loader. What you do is upload a .csv file to bulk loader. If you have basic knowledge of a spreadsheet, it is quite easy to do. I have used the bulk loader exclusively for a couple of years and it is quite convenient since you can work on your files anywhere that you have your spreadsheet program. You also can upload from anywhere as long as you have your spreadsheet. The max duration with the bulk loader is still 14 days. I use 14 days exclusively since all of my auctions are 1ST BID WINS format (starting price and selling price are the same).

Thanks stavescards. I'm like Hillbilly and 95% of the other auction sellers and when you see a term like ".csv" and "spreadsheet" you instantly stop thinking about using the bulkloader.
I really think that Yahoo is very close to either pulling the plug or drastically overhauling it's remaining auction sites ( except Yahoo-Japan and its 3.5 million auctions ). It is getting worse and worse there everyday and the bidders have mostly left or never arrived. Yahoo seems to want to promote its Yahoo Shopping in general much more than the auctions segment. I believe the auction segment cuts too deeply into it's Yahoo Stores and Yahoo Used Goods ( formerly Yahoo Warehouse ) and other Yahoo Shopping businesses.
