In a word, help!
I just got five e-mails regarding 5 of my Yahoo Auctions, they all state that 3 positively rated sellers made negative comments about my auctions because they violated the terms of service.
I reviewed the terms of service and couldn't find a single thing wrong with any of the Items, what makes this seem all the more suspicious (to me) is that I have similar items selling that weren't reported.
E.g. I'm selling three different A/V receivers, they only reported one.
So what do I do? Is someone simply out to get me? All the e-mail from Yahoo said to do was to review my auction based on the reasons for the negative feedback.
Can I call Yahoo and/or wait for them "review the case" and realize nothing is wrong?
What do I do?
I have three suspicions:
#1. My first suspicion is that it's a competitor, my Yahoo sales aren't great right now, but they are steadily climbing and I've received E-mails from people asking how I can sell Product X for so cheap.
Basically, unlike maybe 95% of the other people selling consumer electronics, I just have better sources. I only sell new models, and I get them from distributors who sell to dealers/wholesalers/offline retailers -- I get excellent shipping/service, I'm able to offfer new models faster then some offline retailers (I had someone buy something from me, that Circuit city hadn't received yet. ) and I get a couple of e-mails/week asking me how I offer new stuff and/or why my prices are low.
So maybe someone is trying to squelch me before I get going.
#2. It's a Prank
#3. Something personal I haven't figured out yet.
My basic question is what should I do, AND what kind of problems could I be facing AND how can I figure who lodged these complaints.

Have you been suspended or had any auctions cancelled? It could be a prank. Make sure the e-mail address is actually from Yahoo. If so, respond and ask them to confirm the problem so you can fix it.
Good luck

I agree with caffeitalia. Email yahoo and make sure your listings are ok, and if they are maybe yahoo will warn the user.

Yahoo e-mailed me back a canned letter and told me the neighborhood watch is annonymous, that it was created for, etc, etc and that if I didn't think there was anything wrong with my auctions I should leave them up. They also said that if I received more negatives a member of their staff would review my auctions and verify the violation and that the current negatives, (even if I believe they are erroneous) would remain in my record.

At least the eBay canned responses are close to the issue you are trying to get them to deal with
The Yahooooooo bots are totally out in left field. It's like they spin a big wheel and when it stops on the flavour-of-the-day, everyone gets the same response regardless of their problem.
Yahooooooo is a wasted effort and a waste of web space.

There goes that stupid Canadian thinking again. Truth be told, neither sites canned responses come up even close to fixing any problems.
After re-reading the original post of the other posts of the author, it appears that other buyers are giving negs to a seller. If this is the case, there is a reason for it. But they violate terms of service? That part doesn't make any sense for a buyer to give a negative. It would make sense if Yahoo was cancelling the auctions, but it don't sound that way either. As I read, I get the impression that the neg feedbacks are deserved and this posting is a venting.

The “Neighborhood Watch” on Yahoo is a private “flee market” mentality, used by those who can’t compete or can’t stand competition, to rid the site of their personal competition.
There is never an explanation, just a cancellation of your auction, and a keeping of your listing fee.
********
Blairwitch – there is a different with eBay, the very few I have ever had cancelled on eBay, since 1996, I received a specific as to how I had violated the eBay TOS, AND, also received my listing fee back – neither of which one can say for Yahoo….you just get a “you violated our TOS,” thanks for the listing fee!
Yahoo needs to rid itself of 2 things the listing fee and the “Neighborhood Watch.”

I believe the Neighborhod Watch has been revamped. The NW postings are sent to the seller who then can act or not act on the NW report. After 3 warnings Yahoo looks into the matter.

If you dont want to pay a listing fee then Bidville is the site for you. Neighborhood watch has been redone and anyone making false statements are suspended.
