As of 24May02 Yahoo Auctions had 314,105 (-2615)
As of 14Jun02 Yahoo Auctions had 309,097 (-5008)
As of 28Jun02 Yahoo Auctions had 291,421(-17676)
As of 6Aug02 Yahoo Auctions had 261,084 (-30337)
As of 23 Aug02 Yahoo Auctions had 269,875 (+8791)

Now that all the items from the FLD's are gone the listings are starting to climb on their own. I doubt we will see anymore FLD's on yahoo, and I dont blame them.

It is getting more and more difficult to sell items on ebay and more and more items that do manage to sell on ebay only sell with one bid.

That situation makes Yahoo's low fees look better and better. Many sellers list items on ebay and when they fail there they list the same items on Yahoo for 10 days. If the items do not all sell on Yahoo then it's back to ebay in time to catch the 'the second listing is free if it sells within 30 days' clause.

tooltimes I said for along time now ebay is slowly outpricing their sellers. Hopefully the numbers will continue to climb, and so will the bidders.

What you also can do for items less than $10.00, you can list/relist it for 7 auction cycles for the same price as it costs for one listing at ebay. If you list 25 items that cost under $10 with two relists and list them for 10 days, it will only cost you $3.00 in listing fees for the month. When you stop and think about it, almost anyone can sell enough to cover that. Now I am not saying to not list at ebay, heck that is where the majority of the bidders are. But if you have an auction that don't sell there right away, Yahoo is a very good place to put them for longer exposure and increased chances of a successful sale.

Actually it would be 6 auction cycles but Yahoo would refund the seller back half of the listing fees on any items sold on any of the 3 relists.

Many sellers simply dont know about the yahoo advantages. FREE buy it now, FREE 10 day listings, 3 FREE photos, Much more liberal link policy, FREE time of auction ending, and the feedback setting that eliminates negative bidders. I have told many friends about yahoo, and they were clueless they had auctions. Its only a matter of time
