I swear, you'd think I was new to online auctions. I'm so excited. I sold my first item, a Dreamsicles Plate. It went with the take-it price or whatever you call it. Boy, that EOA letter is kinda worthless ain't it? Sheesh. But, I made do and went back to the auction to get my info for my Congrats letter to the buyer. I'm so jazzed!

I just love checking my auctions with pictures only! That is the NEATEST Feature!

Doncha hate it when you are reaching behind you to drop a ciggie in the turlet, burn your butt instead, fly off the turlet and hit yer head on the bathtub, while the ciggie safely eludes the burial at sea by falling down the heat register.

heygrape: I'm familiar with some of your auctions from past venues when I looked at them, and last night I took a looksee at a few of your actual Yahoo! auctions, and I must say that the Yahoo web design is remarkably professional, and so the Yahoo! Auction page format embues an even greater professional look to your own auctions than they even already exhibited before.

I hope you experience stupendously good sales.

Thanks!

I'm still in denial over my Amazon, but working this hard at Yahoo has kept me too busy to dwell on it too much. I feel like I when I went to the store to buy more ciggies, Amazon moved away without telling me. I guess this too shall pass. It still hurts though, and is still in the back of my mind constantly. I had a safe place to dwell at Amazon. I've never been that happy anywhere before.

But VeryModern and others here at Yahoo have made me feel so welcome, I just don't know how I will ever find a way to repay you.

Oh crips! Now ya went and got me all weepy!

STOP DAT AND GET BACK TO WORK!
Luv,
Grapey

So happy you sold your first item on Yahoo. I have been trying to sell on Yahoo for 2 days now.[I'm new] I signed up.. they got my credit card, and all info..but they want an alternate email, which I don't have and they tell me to check my email for a confirmation code, which I didn't get..can't find where to email them...there "help" is no help. Can someone help me out here? Thanks!

pb13021: When you register at Yahoo! Auctions, they automatically assign you an email addie at Yahoo.com, for instance:

[email protected]

THIS above addie is considered your primary email address while you're conducting auctions on Yahoo!

When they ask you for your "alternate" email, this means to give them your email addie at your ISP, your primary email addie.

i.e., [email protected]

If I could use html text for pics I'd go straight to yahoo right now! I never got the hang of uploading and okay I'm old and set in my ways

So if I did it, would it work? For an auction?

pb13021: when I registered at YahooAuctions!, all the info was already inserted for me, as I've had Yahoo! email accounts since 1996.

I had the opposite problem from yours -- I was poundin' & poundin' on BACK, cuz I misunderstood and thought they were putting my primary email addie at my ISP for public use at YahooAuctions, but NO.

Ya know, you might wanna go to Yahoo.com -- the homepage, and then click on MAIL and see if I am right that you now do have a Yahoo email addie to accompany your auction account.

Ah.......you see, I was very tired and out-of-it when I answered your query, and I don't think I made it clear that I wasn't all that certain about the validity and/or accuracy of my reply ---- if any, ahem!!

millicent: Yikes! I dunno! I don't do pics. If no one drops in and answers you real soon, maybe you should start a brand new messagethread. I'm sure there's lotsa Yahoo! newbies with the same questions and quandaries, as well as experienced folks who can answer.

Radh, I got another ID, that's done. I have a yahoo addy too. Got some info from them last week but forgot to ask about the pics. I guess I can just hop in and give it a shot. It's free after all!

Loading pics on the auction is SO easy on Yahoo!

click on submit a item
click on upload pics
click on browse
a box will open up...find the pic on your hard drive. Double click on it and it will fall into the box.
Click on upload pic
Click on done

It will then return you to your auction page to do your description and selling options.

Piece of cake. Don't have to type a thing to upload a pic.

And if, for some reason, you don't want to upload your auction photos onto Yahoo, you can STILL use HTML in the description box for photo links to your photos on their host (just like ebay). Just remember that you won't have a THUMBNAIL photo when people view listings under "show only photos" unless you UPLOAD onto Yahoo.

Yeah! What Granee said! You don't have to upload to Yahoo. You can continue with your html's.

But you won't get those nifty thumbnails and the thumbnails are my FAVORITE part!
