Here goes. I've been debating on posting this but would like to give this guy all the bad publicity I can. I plan to follow the "guidelines" and invite him here and will do that right away.

I stupidly bid on some bubble mailers from magicdeals before checking out his feedback. He is currantly 68+, 35-, and 8N. Yikes! Why is guy allowed to continue selling? Any ideas on how to get Yahoo! to do something about it? I've been contacted by others who were ripped off as well. He was selling on eBay for a while but got booted there rather quickly. Any ideas on what to do?

edited to mention that he has also become a deadbeat bidder so beware and blacklist!!!

Lora (off to do whatever it is I need to do to unlock this)

Yahoo has poor customer service. I know an user id with -75 feedback & he is still considered active. Usually what these idiots will do is make an id & go on a bidding spree.

Did he mail you your stuff or what?. You got to check who you buy from in Yahoo. Most sellers are very honest & attempt to make Yahoo a place for everyone. Unfortunately there will always be one or two bad apples. Since Yahoo is only a mere venue, they hardly monitor their site. He is not going to get suspended no matter how much you plead to Yahoo...

IBStitchin,

I am unlocking this thread because you have followed the CG's to the letter and have met all the requirements.

This is a topic that I can see becoming very heated so I remind you to please stay within the CG's.

Thanks,

Hi Joice, WOW a need for a moderator on the Yahoo board, how unusual LOL.

Hi IBStichin
A few unfortunate points here:
--Yahoo wouldn't stop him from selling until he achieves a -4 total. Since he has a 43 he would have to get 0 postives and 47 more negs.
--Yahoo will not get involved in a bidder/seller dispute. You are on your own as far as they are concerned.
--A lot of bidders looking at his ads would see the 43 rating and assume he's OK and not read his FB's.

You may be able to get him booted for something else--he is spamming (multiple listings for identical items). This is absolutely not allowed. Send a complaint on that here
http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/auct/cgi_feedback

from the dropdown menu on #4 select violating Terms of Service. It won't help get your $ back but might be satisfying otherwise.

Outside Yahoo you can file fraud claims with these organizations

Yup you should always check before buying. Buy from someone like me Have a flawless record in eBay & one of Yahoo's pride & joy, seller. Have a few negs in Yahoo because I was stupid enough to get in a dispute with a deadbeat bidder. Learned my lesson the hard way. Never get into a dispute with a deadbeat because he can harrass your auctions & you can do zip.

comic123: if you're in the USA, there are laws about NOT interfering in the operations of a business enterprise, and thus more & more sellers will be reporting these actions of auction sabotage to the FBI and other fraud websites.

Wow! It's unlocked! I was gone over the 4th and just got back this morning. Thanks for the info kasmoon. I realize I shouldn't have bought from this person and didn't think Yahoo! would do anything but wanted to check. Mostly I wanted to throw his name out there so lurkers on this board would beware and not buy or sell from him. It's too bad that Yahoo! won't do something about sellers like this.
