Since a few of you recommended this so highly AND I'm doing more of my business off eBay (by choice), I gave it a look.

Two things I was not able to gleen from their web site.
First: This program intergrates with your web browser, but is it always present when you use the browser ? Or only when you launch auction tamer ?

Second: Does it have a way of printing invoices as well as emails- I find that utility in EBUD a tremendous time saver-plus I keep a hard copy of everything.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Rick,

I know what you're talking about because some programs actually attach themselves to your browser but AuctionTamer does not. AuctionTamer does not modify your Internet browser in any way.

In order to use the functions in AuctionTamer you must start the program and then you will see the browser inside of AuctionTamer.

AuctionTamer has a feature where you can print the e-mails as they are sent, this can be done automatically. You can design the e-mails to look like invoices if you like.

Thanks,

Mike

See I told you the folks at AUCTION TAMER are the best, always available to help, and yes I am one of those who so highly recommends AUCTION TAMER, it has made a MAJOR difference in our Yahoo Business....

Try it, and once you get the hang of it, you will wonder how you ever lived without it.

Thanks AT....and Mike...

Few more questions:

I can choose which auction sites I use with this ? Such that if I decide to leave eBay out, I can still use it for Yahoo and Amazon ?

I don't quite get the fact that it only works with CLOSED yahoo auctions, can I get a little clarification on that ?

HOW configurable are the emails and which ones you send out- I'm not interested in sending emails to every bidder, is that an option or built in no matter what ?

How many email addresses can you use with it ? For keeping things straight, I use different email addys for the 3 different sites I sell on- can AT handle that ? Or is only one usable ?

Thanks.

Hi viaastra,

Yes, you don't need to use eBay if you don't want to.

Yahoo only provides the e-mail addresses when there are winners. That is why AuctionTamer can't send the "Thank you for your bid" e-mail like it can with eBay and Amazon auctions. AuctionTamer does send the "You Won" e-mail when the Yahoo auction closes and when the bidder pays the Buy Price.

All the buyer features work fine with Open and Closed Yahoo auctions.

The sending of the "Thank you for your bid" e-mail is optional and they are all configurable. You can also send a "I'm sorry but your bid was unsuccessful" e-mail. With this e-mail you can direct them to your other auctions where you might be selling the same thing again.

AuctionTamer has 2 options of sending e-mail. One is MAPI which includes e-mail programs like Outlook and if you want to send e-mail to another address then you will need to change the profile within Outlook. This is not very practical. The other option is SMTP e-mail and you will need to edit the address in Preferences to change it. So to answer you question. It's not very practical to use multiple e-mail addresses.

Thanks,

Mike
