Much to my surprise, after I loaded about 100 auctions on Yahoo, using AW bulkloader, I noticed that my auctions only included one of the two pics that I included in the html of my description. All the coding is correct and all the previews were fine. But somewhere along the line, when the auctions posted the auctions to yahoo, it changed the img src and left it blank for one of the two pics. I listed a bunch of shirts that I like to post both front and back pics of. However, the first pic, the one that was to be shown on the left side of the auction, has mysteriously been altered and doesn't show. I have even tried to post directly from yahoo and have gotten some similar results. All the pics are small and shouldn't affect the size or limits. Anyone have any ideas? I have contacted yahoo about this to see if there is a glitch on their end. The same ads posted on ebay and amazon come out fine.

I have found that in many cases, Yahoo is finicky about HTML. A lot of times, what works everywhere else on the web will not work at Yahoo. Couldn't find any of your auctions though, so I'm not sure.

I found that I can stack the pics on top of each other and everything seems to work okay. It's just when they are placed side by side that one of the images is lost. I think the ads look better side by side, but I guess I will have to edit my spreadsheet to whatever works best.

I use auctionwatch to post pictures too, and what you are describing might be added counters. They are considered another eqvilent to another photo, so it would not load up all my pictures. I wanted the counters on there to see how many many hits I was getting. So I ended up manually going to the site and adding the photos the Yahoo way. Sorry, don't know if this helps you or not, you have my sympathy.

I am having the same problem with GoTo, but it's not because I have too many pictures. I still have the auction in scheduled because the pictures won't show. I tried to list an auction from inventory, with the same pictures that were on it before. But when I tried to change the pictures and use new ones, the new pictures wouldn't load. The old ones show just fine.

A friend says she stacks them together, and I've tried that too. Has anyone found a solution?

What's GoTo? I don't think bulk listers are working too good on Yahoo. But I dunno cause I do every auction by hand. (sticking out ample chest in pride) LOL!!

I load my 1st pic onto the Yahoo site. All other pics I put in the description with the basic html. If I have more than 1 pic for the auction, I stitch 2,3, and 4 together into one pic and stick the stitched pic in the description using basic html.

Hope this helps

Oh wait, I just had a thought. Check the size of the pic. Yahoo only allows a certain megabyte total of pics.

I checked the size, but the total of all the pictures together is less than 300kb. I know that's fairly large, but Yahoo allows up to 1.5mg for pictures, so that's still small enough.

It's getting weirder & weirder. Now my scheduled auction's description has changed-all by itself. Maybe the thing to do is just list with Yahoo, but I like to work in the middle of the night, and with AR, I can schedule auctions to start when I want them to.

Even if you do your Yahoo auctions 1 at a time, by hand, you can schedule the time for them, right there on the listing page.

Well, I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to post one auction going thru Yahoo. It keeps timing out when trying to upload my picture. I know this is a Yahoo problem because I can upload using FTP to any other site very quickly with cable modem.

I read this reply by heygrape and was very excited! I didn't realize you could scedule Yahoo auctions. I looked on the listing page (I also list Yahoo auctions one at a time) and couldn't find where to do this. I know you can say when you want the auction to end. Could you please tell me where this info. is. I would sure like to take advantage of it.

Thanks!

p.s. I edited because I couldn't get the html to work for the quote.

Sorry, that's what I meant. You can schedule the time of day to end.

I have been using auctionwatch's bulk loader to list my yahoo auctions. Everything in the preview if fine and I know my html code is correct. I run two small jpeg's in each ad. What happens is that the image on the left doesn't show up. Somewhere in the uploading process, yahoo changes the img src to <img src> without having any webpage or file to reference. I was finally able to correct this glitch by getting rid of all the quotation marks in the img src, removing any bold tags and only using one <br> tag. Don't know how the problem came up, but yahoo doesn't like one of those codes and I suspect it's the quotation marks, even though yahoo support said that the coding is correct. On a good note, sales have been great and people are actually paying for their winnings. Hope it contiues.
