cut and paste, my favorite tools. this might give you the "format" you wish or the look you want. don't give up too quickly, also check with their support people, they are there to help you.

I use my wordprocessor, and copy or cut, and then I go to their format and paste. good luck!

What is your id on Yahoo? I was going to check your auctions and see if I could spot anything.

If I cut and paste from an eBay listing I lose the HTML tags and the whole listing bunches together as one long paragraph.
To maimtain original seperations I have to cut and paste from the listing program or go into the listing on YAHOO before submission and replace the tags eg <p>
Don't know if this is the problem your encountering but I hope this helps or leads you towards the answer.

I have found an easy way to cut and paste from one auction to another. I open the create new auction page for the site I want to list on in one browser window. Then I open Internet Explorer and go to the auction page of the one I want to copy the description from. Across the top of the screen (in IE) I click on view and then source. Another window will open with the source code for that auction page. It looks like a bunch of mumble jumble, but if you scroll down you will find your original description complete with the HTML! I highlight the description, copy it, close that window, go back to my window with the auction page I am creating and then paste. It may sound confusing at first, but it sure saves a lot of time. I also do this if I have similar items with the same basic descriptions. I will cut and paste and change the appropriate wording. I hope this helps.
