I have been looking for a good deal on these cameras for a while. It seems that everyone on Yahoo that is selling them either is a distributor that starts bidding at or pretty darn close to retail, or a seller with no feedback, who is out of the country, who will only accept wire transfer or money order. I think I side-stepped a real scammer the other day on a couple of XL1's (which I talked about in another post). Could it be that 4 or of every 5 people selling these cameras (and other miniDV cameras) are scammers looking for a quick buck?

I want to get a digital camera too. ASAP.

I'm not shopping on the 'net though. I want to get a camera that I've physically been able to test before I buy it. That's how I am with any high end or electronic purchase.

Low FB out-of-country sellers who request only wire transfer or money order would be enough to arouse my suspicions. On low-dollar amounts I'm willing to gamble a little, but not when we're talking digital cameras.
