The auction will not end unless the buyer buys the same quantity as is up for auction. For example, if you have 200 widgets up for auction at $2.99 each, and a buyer comes along and bids $2.99 and puts in quantity 150, the auction will still be open with 50 widgets at $2.99. But if he bids $2.99 with quantity 200, then the auction will end and he gets all of them.

OK---I could figure this out on ebay - but if there are 100 widgets and the bid is 5.00 WHERE do they put in how many they want?? How does the bidder know just from browsing that its a Dutch ?? I ended up putting in the text "If you would like one of these, etc" since even in Yahoo HELP -- no help for dutch ers......
I used the buy price but it looks like when they bid they would get them all....so I just listed (1) confusing!
Also, has anyone had probs with the eppraisal showing a checkmark (which I didn't put there)and the item won't list? I kept getting this msg and the darn thing kept showing up in the box-----

Even if the bidder doesn't notice it's a Dutch when they click place bid it would automatically tell them they have to enter a quantity and a bid amt.

It's more confusing for the seller looking at their Selling page. It only shows one bid and one bidder name regardless of the actual bids. You have to pull up the ad and click bid history to see what # was bid for and how many bidders there are.

thanks you guys, for that helpful info. I had been wondering those things too.

I've noticed the e-praisals box keeps getting involuntarily filled in too. You just have to delete whatever junk gets entered into that box before you click "continue", otherwise it will give you an error saying that you have an invalid eppraisal ID. Annoying.
