Hi,
I have been posting to e-bay for a while and have decided to start posting to yahoo due to the many problems at e-bay (Nightly Outages) well I need some help. How do you chance the bid increments form 10 cents to a higher number I don't see a box for it and I can't seem to find anything in help?

The only way to raise the bid increment is to raise the bid. As the bid gets higher, so does the increment....although I'm not exactly sure at what amounts it changes.

I know if you open at $9.99 and your first bidder ONLY puts in $9.99, the next bid will be $10.09, the 10 cent increment.
I think a $10.00 bid has to be raised by 50 cents to $10.50, and a $20.00 bid has to be raised by $1.00 to $21.00, but I'm not sure, either.

You might want to consider the "first bid wins" approach. If you know how much you want for an item, you can just make the "buy price" & the opening bid the same amount. Then put "first bid wins" in your title, & explain in your listing that the first person to bid X dollars wins the item.
It's just a suggestion, but many Yahoo sellers, myself included, have had success with this method. I've personally been disappointed with the results of auction- format sales I've closed so far on Yahoo, but happy beyond my wildest dreams with selling via "first bid wins".

I just pulled up the Auctions home page and there was one "Hot Item" showing with a high bid of 1.7 million. Of course I had to click the ad for a closer look. The funniest thing was the bid increment only showed as TEN dollars.
I looked up the official increment scale, here it is
The table below shows the required bid increments for Yahoo! Auctions:
Price of Item Increment
$0-$10.00...........$0.10
$10.01-50.00........$1.00
$50.01-100.00.......$2.50
$100.01-500.00......$5.00
$500.01 and above...$10.00
