Hello, everyone. I registered with Yahoo Auctions back on 9/17/99. Since that time, I have misplaced my password to the site.

I have tried to request a new password once a day over the last 2.5 weeks, and Yahoo will NOT email me a new one!!!

The "prompt" I left for myself does no good. I've tried every combination possible, and it's a no go.

My question is, WHO can I contact to rectify this situation?? On a lark, I emailed my problem to Support@Yahoo. The email never bounced back, and neither did I receive a reply!

Can any of you veterans help me out here? I really want to begin selling at Yahoo, but I can't if I am not able to "get in!"

Thanks in advance for any information/help you may be able to provide!

Does your computer automatically fill in the little ***** ? if it does there is a free small program called Password Kill. You put the little box next to the password and hit kill and the password appears so you can read it.

I have an A to Z telephone book just for my passwords. But Password Kill has saved me many times.

I thought I posted some information earlier that shared my experience and included some locations and a phone number.
Maybe I screwed up the post or included information that conflicted with the TOS here at AW.
Please send me an email at [email protected] and I will forward the data. Ray

For anyone looking for service for yahoo auctions they have very good custumer suport but if you dont live in there area it will cost you a bit if you call yahoos suport I recommend sundy since I have found there is normally less then a 3 min wait in the after noon eastcoast time to get a password though be perpard to to prove who you are the rep will after afew question send you your new password email.

one way that might be faster is if you also have a yahoo email address go to yahoo mail and click the forgot password link your mail password and auction password is more then likely the same. they will send you your password email

Well I didn't screwup the post here nor offend the TOS, I just answered a nearly identical question at OTWA.

A contact number to start the human process at YAHOO is 408-530-5151.

I noticed this mistake late last night but I had already used up my allotment of mistakes for Friday and had to wait until this morning before posting a correction to have it count against todays ration.

A little forgetfulness is to be expected in an old man in his 90's.

Unfortunatly I several decades short of being able to use that excuse.
