I had an auction close because someone bid the "buy it" price. When I contacted the bidder, I got a message that someone had been using his/her email address and a similar username for bidding, and that he/she had not bid...this closed my auction a day early, with no other bidders. It had been featured. I tried to contact Yahoo! but got no response...should my featured fees be reimbursed, since there was no sale? This user has 2 neutrals posted because of the same problem...

Sounds like a bunch of baloney to me. A similar ID will not login as a different ID and email addresses have nothing to do with it. Tell the bidder to stop playing games, if his ID bid and won your auction then he is the guilty party. With the millions of Yahoo IDs, nobody would have an identity if similar IDs and emails cross-linked to each other.
