I think the major problem is no one clearly understands how this program will work, or impact them personally. Since Yahoo has no true announcement board, and Customer Service might as well not exist, there are a multitude of legitimate questions regarding this program which are causing user frustration and problems - which could be put to rest if Yahoo had a Discussion Board, such as eBay has where questions could be presented and instantly answered by Yahoo staff.
OR IF YAHOO AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL would come to this board and respond to the questions presented by users!
NOW, I think that would be an excellent idea...but I won't hold my breath. Guess they don't realize it would actually make their job easier, and certainly cut down on e-mails to Customer Service!

I dont see no major problem with the Auction limits on yahoo they seem to be working just as they said you get 1000 limit and as you list and resubmit another auction they are going one less.
this is just what they said it was gona be !!!
as you sell this month you will gain listing for your completed sales.
If past yahoo promotions are any guide this means to yahoo they will add 1 listing per positive feed back or additional feed back from past buyer you receive to your following month.
I dont know if you noticed it or not but I did I have now 80 postive rateings from 25 different users I got 1080 listings to use between today and september 1 I have 928 more I can list and resubmit this month
all the competed sales from today till sept1
will be added as additional for sept to oct .
so I have 1080 today if I complete 20 sales buy sept1 I will have 1100 listings next month.
there is no ruleing on negs at all which means if you get a neg you would remain at the or go back to the 1000 limit and start over.
I have been through a few yahoo promotions and inless they have changed there ways this is how it works the more good sales the more they give you weather its free features or what ever there goal is to get a rep for happy sales

The limit is a major problem. Now sellers will have to sign up additional accounts to be able to sell all month long.
If I list 200 items for 2 day auctions, the limit will be reached in 10 days!
As a matter of fact, yes I am an eBay Power Seller - BUT THAT wasn't what I was referring to, I was talking about the eBay "New Features" Discussion Board, and the fact that eBay Personnel often come to the board and hold an open forum, to answer questions that users ask, and they are answered immediately, live.
Of course with eBay, most of the answers are "canned eBay Company lines," but one can get direct explanations on new changes.
Regarding "Power Sellers", I am sure since I started on Yahoo, 8 months ago, that "legally" I have lost my Power Seller status on eBay since I do little posting there now, but they don't seem to keep up on that very well, and I can still access the Power Seller Support line, which is definitely an advantage as we actually get quick, responses from humans, not the canned auto response which comes from the main Customer Support area of eBay.

Jake, you are right "I think" I haven't figured out the exact amount, but that seems correct, I also list about 200 each time and for 2 days, so guess it is off to create more ID's. What a pain.

I think this sellers limit option will be tough on sellers but in the end it will be great for Yahoo Community & buyers. No longer will sellers simply list junk, duplicates etc. And best of all if they don't sell then out they go.
I list over 350 items every day & they sell. I have a large turn around so I've no problems. Yahoo gives you points back for good feedback & if you have a good sell rate.
Its all those sellers that list everything from dry leaves to 2x2 Wall Paper that needs to be banged.
A couple of months ago before Free Yahoo (I emphasize FREE) became the most hip thing & when all the hot heads were at eBay Outlook arguing about Canada orders, there was some serious discussion here by a few of us about the quality of products listed in Yahoo Auctions. There was even talk about listing fees. Tho' I do not support fees (hey I am cheap so are you too), there was some form of discussion on how sellers who list 10 auctions for blue marbles needs to get penalized. Just cos its free don't mean its got to be crap.
Check out Goldsauction & see what's listed there as a good example. People are selling 25 cents electrical manuals that are collected from the trash can.
Its tough but its time to think of the community as a whole. I know its tough but I hate to go through pages of utter garbage. I mean some one was selling a stack of red colored paper for $2. BTW how many of the new cheer leaders will be here when Yahoo starts charging a dime for listing.

jake - if you are selling any of the 200 items, then you will not run out in ten days.
However, if you are running the same 200 auctions for 2 days in order to stay on "top" everybody else and force buyers to view your same items before they can see anyone else's then I will be very glad if you run out of listings and so will everyone else.
