Can anyone tell me if they can access the photo's only by time as it was a week ago?
I usually browse by the photos in TOYS-DIECAST-MATCHBOX!
Only checked every few pages to see what the close time was?
Since the new upgrades you can sort by end time (listings only), photo, amount and number of bids!
DOES ANYONE AS A BIDDER OR SELLER REALLY CARE HOW MANY BIDS OR PRICE IF THE AUCTION IS STILL GOING ON??
OH! You can also pull up closed auctions from the screen! Is that not going to slow down servers and searches?
I have been looking at the same photos only pages, since the new changes last week and E-mailing Yahoo daily and hope I get an answer???
Will post if I do!

well, I'm not sure I exactly understand all the new changes, but I do know that the option to search by price & # of bids would be really nice.
I search by price on Ebay regularly; it's a very helpful thing to be able to do when you have a specific price in mind you want to pay for a specific item & there are pages of them listed in varying conditions. For example if I want to buy a book that has been reprinted a jillion times, I often sort by price. You can pick out the mint 1st edition with dust jacket of a title in 2 seconds by sorting by price and looking at the higher end of the list, or the 15th paperback printing just for reading pleasure by looking at the lower end of the list. You could be there all day clicking if you just sort by ending time.
Maybe it doesn't matter as much now when Yahoo is relatively small- things aren't that hard to find right now. But just wait- Yahoo has the potential to grow to Ebay size & beyond! And I hope it does!!

I agree that the OPTIONS are nice to have, but I think the default should be "time left".

I forgot to click the e-mail notification! Glad you gave it atry and came up with the same results!
One response from Yahoo was it was my browser!!! I tried both AOL and IE 5.0 with the same results!
One reply said it was a transient problem! I wish it would transit before my auctions close!!
Another response says they are aware of the problem and working on it! Sounds like someone else I know!

I really do not know what sorting by bids on on going auctions would gain anyone? Most bidding activity does not normally take place until just prior to the hammer falling and you would never have a chance to get the sorting done to place a bid with good SNIPERS out there!
If I am at a live auction or Internet and there is a good buy, I do not care how many bids are in as long as mine is the last one!
Sorting by price is for classifieds! Again the final price is determined in the final minutes and if at a live auction if you want to make a phone call to check prices while I am getting the final bid and the hammer fallsand it IS MINE!
I hope we can keep the auction format going or us small folk will ahve problems surviving!
BOTTOM LINE END TIMES ARE CRITICAL!!

I REREAD YOUR EXAMPLE AND WELL TAKEN!
It would give one a general idea, but you also have to remeber lot of folks list stuff for what they think it is worth!
A true collectors pockets can go pretty deep at the close of an auction so the price you have in mind may have to also!

It appears the photo only search is in NO kind of order. I tried several categories clicking the photos in sequence. I'd get an end time of 5 days, next ad 20 hours, next ad 7 days, next 10 days, next 30 minutes and so on.
My selling page finally went back to ending time order tonight. I know some said theirs had days ago but mine had remained a jumbled mess since day 1.
Hopefully they are working toward getting the photo only browsing back in time end order & it will clear up in a few days.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding that but can't you sort by ending soon and then show pics only? That worked for me a few days ago. Melanie

I have not tried this AM, but if you go to sort by end time and then click on photos only! Or if you click sort by photo get same results! Tried them all!!
The photos appear in a random ending order and not by end time!
In order to verify you have to randomly click on individual photos to see there end time!
Last night the first photo ended in 4 days even though there were more then a dozen auctions ending within the hour under toys-diecast-matchbox!
That is the way it has been since the new upgrades last week!
Matter of fact as I stated earlier the first page in this category has been the same all week!
Have to go look, since hopefully it changed , since some auctions on it were supposed to end today!

Nope, It is still broke!
I even clicked through photos until I got past the first few that were featured and ending in 1 day, 2 days etc!
There are nine auctions ending within the hour when you search by list and all have photos with them!
BIG PROBLEM!!!!!

Yahoo! Auctions Customer Care
Shades of E-Greed they say they are working on it!
Should not have to be working on it, when everything was fine last week!!
I have been E-mailing them everyday, since they did the upgrades! I am getting tired of the same page barely changing for almost five days now in my main category! Normally about 5,000 items listed! Would not be bad if you could jump pages!
I have been reading in miscellaneous threads where other folks only use the browse buy photos only to buy on Yahoo and are finding there is no rhyme or reason to the sequence they are coming up!!
It seems everyone is more concerned about the rewards program then loosing prospective buyers and new folks!

10-4 Good Buddy!
I have not checked this morning, but will shortly and start e-mailing again! At 11:00 PM PST it was still broke!
I really hope the first page in Diecast-matchbox has changed more!
Also last night I advanced a few pages and when you clicked on an Item photo, would get messages that the Yahoo.com server could not be accessed!
