Can someone explain the +1 and so on when you list.
I thought I had it all figured out. Then I read a post that said it didn't matter what it was set at, 0 feedback could still bid.
Now don't get me wrong, everyone has to start with 0. As a matter of fact after several sales over the last year I have yet to get even one feedback at Yahoo myself. So I am still a 0 also. But anyway, after several deadbeat 0 feedback bidders and one check that bounced all the way to the moon, I am begining to think that putting that little +1 or whatever might not be such a bad idea.
Sooooooo can someone please help me to understand how putting the +1 or +2 can help stop some of these deadbeat bidders?
Or does it????

Setting a rating minimum just means that if you don't have that rating, you must verify a credit card with Yahoo and you can bid on anything regardless of the rating minimum set by the seller. So no, it does not deter deadbeats but may deter honest bidders who don't have a credit card or don't want to verify it with Yahoo. And as of next Wednesday, all bidders are going to have to verify a credit card so this option will probably no longer exist as of then.

not to worry about the rateing settings I think after the 13th of september when all new and old buyers have to verify credit card with yahoo to bid this feature will be done away with .
but here is how it work +1 = one positive feed back to bid with out credit card verification +2 and so on -1 means anyone with 1 negtive feed back can bid with out CC on file 0 opens to all bidder no mater the rateing

You know, that sounds to me like it is going to take away some really nice honest people from yahoo.
Maybe they are trying to make it harder for the deadbeats, and I can appreciate that, but a lot of good buyers who don't want to use or don't even have a credit card, are going to be out in cold.
By the way, thank you also dman3.
