Since the free lunch at paypal seems to be ending I just now tried to sign up for Yahoo pay Direct.
I already have a Yahoo Wallet, so they have verified me before and had all the info on record. But just to keep me busy, they asked for something nobody has ever asked me for before...I didn't even know it existed: my 3 digit CC verification # located on the backside of the CC where you sign the card. It's right after your CC # there.
So I entered it and the Yahoobot's wheels started spinning and.....they comes back to me and say that # does not match the card.
Oh YEAH? I have the card right in front of me!
Another nice job from the morons who brought you Neighborhood Watch, 1000 auctions and today, they kicked off all the good customers who have a positive feedback history but no credit card.
