Check this out!
Costco partnered with Yahoo and Spinway to provide a free ISP!

Few times I tried it, it has had good connect speeds!

You only get the flashing banner when on non-partnered sites! Such as AW!

They might want to get on this boat also!

When using Yahoo or Yahoo Auctions at full page view, there are no banners!

See how it works and maybe I can get rid of AOL and hope DSL or cable shows up in the foothills of the Cascades soon!

Definitely good for Yahoo sellers. Get new people to sign on and stay logged into Yahoo because leaving is annoying.

It would also be good to have when your main ISP is having hiccups so that you can contact your customers and keep on top of your auctions.

Ooops! It states for Costco members only. We don't have Costcos in this area, so no members or memberships. Bummer!

Do you have a kmart in your area? Kmart and yahoo partnered on free ISP and are handing out the CDs. A recent review of free ISPs shows one called www.thesimpsons.com as the best. Its les than a meg download. I just installed it on my father's PC so he could get rid of AOL. With one little change, it's working fine. First, change the home page. The simpsons page takes way too long to load. I would recommend using yahoo as a home page and yahoo mail instead of the simpson's mail. Second, once you're connected, shut down the simpson's version of IE and load the standard one that comes with windows. After that, it's smooth sailing.

When I read the TOU (terms of use) for this, I think it said at present you do not have to be a costco member, but they would have the right to stop the service at their discretion!

K-mart does have one affiliated also as mentioned!

Here is the link:

I ran that one last spring and it was good also! Best part is the add bar runs behind your main window when On a Yahoo or partner site! Even had good reviews in a computer mag I was reading!

Good luck!

warr and yisgood Hey, thanks to you both for the info! It is always good to have a secondary ISP especially when you are heading into the winter months with the outages, etc.
