I wanted to feature an auction and I was checking on my featured auctions list
and discovered some of the auctions are NOT the ones I featured!
in fact, this seller was taking advantage of my Yahoo Wallet
would it help if I changed the password?

How could this happen? In fact, WHAT happened? Also, will you keep us updated as to what, if anything, Yahoo does? I just the other day did that Wallet thing, anticipating that I might sell on Yahoo (tho it's still in the *possible* stage). Do I have reason to be concerned?

WOW sounds like a glitch .
Why would someone want to get in your wallet and feature your auctions.
maybe some odd happening like two people with the same password or even odder some how you have the same Item numbers.
just wanted to add that once you put your wallet password in once the browser will save this till you close the browser.
if someone else in the house uses your computer they can feature your items too if you have young kids that watch you at the computer they may have been thinking they were helping you out
always close your browser when your leave the computer for a while. also you might want to delete all you yahoo cookies maybe you got one not working right in there.

there are 2 different passwords:
Yahoo Auction
Yahoo Wallet
My guess is that the sellers (yes there are 5 now) figured out my Auction password
I will be calling them tomorrow for the refund
no one touches my computer and they were not featuring my items
I really do not appreciate it when they did it without my permission

scary, scary, scary. There are so many things that can be done with a Yahoo wallet that the featured auctions may be the least of your worries. I hope I'm just being pessimistic here, & I'm certainly very glad you discovered what's going on in time to nip it in the bud.
You don't Yahoo at work do you? If you do are your coworkers trustworthy?
I can't figure out HOW someone would get 2 separate passwords of yours but I guess there are hackers with that ability. Why did these people assume you wouldn't notice though? That's pretty gutsy of them since their seller ID is right there for all the world to see. I can't get over this.
Good luck to you. I hope you're able to resolve this easily. Please keep us posted- I for one am quite curious as to how all this happened & how it will all end up.

CAgrrl - nope all of my work is at home and like I said, no one touches my computer (physically that is)
it was the first time I ran across on my featured profile list when I first featured one of my auctions...
it was a loooong list
will keep you posted about the results

I'm awfully confused as to how this could happen. Are you saying you personally know these sellers therefore they could have guessed your PW, or are they people you don't know?

Please forgive me if I sound awfully confused...but I am. Where did you find your "featured auctions list"?
The only featured auctions list I have ever seen is the one you see when you go to feature an auction. But this is a list of all of the featured auctions in that category so you can see how much you need to pay to obtain the position you want, but has nothing to do with you. (Maybe this is what you saw?)

You go to options and click billing summary. It shows all your featured charges month by month. Only the amount and the auction # are listed though, I've never bothered to look up the actual auction #'s to make sure they were mine. There aren't too many though, 5-10 a month for me so it's not hard to check mine.

kasmoon - no I don't know these sellers
somehow they managed to featured their auctions using my ID and pswd
they honestly thought they'll fool Yahoo without paying for them

It's all fixed!
it was a passwood glitch on Yahoo's part
someone had a duplicate passwood
no problem

you mean their password was the same as your password? what a rotten coincidence! but I still don't get how such a mixup might have happened considering you all must have different ID's. FIVE of you had the same password? What's your password, "BritneySpears"? (just kidding, hope you giggled!)
