I have a Yahoo customer who appears to be a deadbeat. They won an auction on 9/3 for an inexpensive item and have never paid. I have sent several requests via e-mail and have not gotten a reply. They are listed as "new" and have no feedback.

I neg in a situation like this, I know other's do not.
I write nothing more than "did not complete transaction" and then I "remove" and blacklist.
So far I have got no negs in return. It is a combination of dumb luck and the fact that the comment does not incite I think. All that "I wrote them 800 times" type stuff is overkill IMO. I don't need to justify why I am leaving the neg, I always wait several weeks, and this is all the info another seller needs.

Remove the deadbeat as high bidder. I used to think that it prevented them from leaving a neg, but someone on this board set me straight on that account.
It does (I think) trigger a mail to the bidder which says you have removed them. I figure this is a good way of announcing "I am done dealing with you - going to relist".

If you have more than one bidder on your auction, removing the high bidder also triggers (supposedly anyways) an e-mail to the next high bidder with an offer to purchase the item.

Here's something I really like. Deadbeats get put on MY own personal blacklist. That's what I'd do with mine, but of course, it's totally up to you
I've never had so many nonpayers. They are worth much more energy than they are worth.
9/3? I'd have relisted long ago.
