Hi to all. I finally made the decision to leave ebay (at least on a trial basis) to try my luck at Yahoo. The ebay fees are really starting to stack up.

In a thread yesterday posted here, VeryModern mentioned that you can link your ebay feedback to your new feedback at Yahoo.

Since I had 189 good ratings there, I would of course want to do this.

Can anybody help me out here?

I also wanted to say that yesterday there were some VERY GOOD posts about newbies joining Yahoo. I want all of you who contributed to know how much I appreciate what you had to say. THANKS!

yisgood: PLEASE HELP ME FURTHER!! I have filled out everything else, but cannot figure out how to grab my ebay feedback (under a different user name than Yahoo) and link it to my auction. I'm sure I'm missing a step here. Please help me if you can!! Thanks!!

Rather than tie up this thread with back and forth, why dont you email me at [email protected] and we can take it from there.

Hi,
I too am a seller on eBay who has decided to use Yahoo auctions for some items. I did not know how to link my feedback so I made reference to it in my Yahoo auction item description this way: "Potential bidders who would like to check my feedback at another large online auction site are invited to check there under my screen name .... Thank you." Yahoo not only allowed this, but they included the reference in the information about me on the Yahoo auction site. I asked bidders if they did check and most of them said they did. Now I have enough positive Yahoo feedback so that I don't have to use the eBay reference, but when I did it worked. Good luck.

klee,

Reading your post, I had to laugh!!!

I guess old-time Yahoo sellers FORGET what it was like to post under ebay's rules and regulations, so we fail to mention "the obvious" in these threads which are being read by new Yahoo sellers coming from ebay.

RELAX. Yahoo isn't like ebay---you can SAY the word "ebay" in your Yahoo listing without being punished....you can SAY "see my ebay auctions" and even put links to them in your Yahoo listing!!!!! Here's a sample CLICKABLE link to your ebay feedback to put in your listings:

<B><A HREF=" http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=YOUR EBAY USER NAME " TARGET=new>CLICK HERE TO SEE MY EBAY FEEDBACK</A></FONT>
