I'm an experienced yahoo auction seller with about 35 feedbacks, all positive, and my average auction selling price is about $200.00. I had 3 auctions that were running earlier today, and they weren't due to end for another 3 days (Sunday). When I went to check on the status of the auctions a few hours ago, all 3 auctions were gone - totally missing without a trace. When I tried to check with yahoo's Search feature, I got this response, "Could not access item (XXXXXXXX). Please try again later." I have received no notice from yahoo saying that my auctions have been administratively removed or put on Neighborhood Watch or anything else for that matter. All of the other auctions by other sellers in the categories where my auctions were are still running normally. Anyone else have similar incidents, any ideas on what may have happened to my auctions? Thanks

I have seen this happen before. It is probably not a problem with your auctions, it is probably a glitch with Yahoo (they may be fixing something else that isn't broken). In the past when I have seen it, they do come back. I have seen them come and go off and on for a couple of days. Keep checking back and they should reappear. As to where exactly they went...Yahoo probably is not even sure.

Hmm that is weird - however, were they 1st Bid Buy Price?? If so, that is possible. I couldn't find one of mine - but it had sold, since I got email confirmation. When I went back in much later it showed up on Sold....

I'm getting the premonition that we might start clicking "send this page" to ourselves for each day's ending auctions. Elsewise, we have NOTHING to prove they were even there.
It's worth the effort, since Y is messing with their s/ware constantly. Let us know if they come back to orbit

About a day after the 3 auctions disappeared I received 3 "Auction Cancelled" notices from yahoo and also the following email:

"From: [email protected]
Subject: Yahoo! Auctions: ADMINISTRATIVE NOTICE

The following auctions have been determined to be in violation of
Yahoo!'s Terms of Service. Please note that your auctions have been
deleted because this kind of activity is not permitted on Yahoo!
Auctions.
You may wish to review the Terms of Service and Auction Guidelines.
Please be aware that any subsequent violation of these Terms of Service
could result in termination of your Yahoo! user ID, so please read the
Terms carefully.

The following is a list of auctions that have been deleted:

XXXXXXX, XXXXXXX, XXXXXXX

Thank you,

Yahoo! Auctions"

Since I was totally in the dark as to exactly what specific "violations of terms of service" I had committed I emailed them back and asked them to tell me what SPECIFIC rules I had broken so I could mend my rule-breaking ways and not break them in the future. Here is their response that I received yesterday:

"Subject: Re: Yahoo! Auctions: ADMINISTRATIVE NOTICE
From: Yahoo Auctions <[email protected]>
Reply-to: Yahoo Auctions <[email protected]>

Hello,

Thank you for your email.

Generally, auctions are deleted if it comes to Yahoo!'s attention that
they violate our Terms of Service or Auction Guidelines. Any Yahoo!
Auction may be removed for violations of the Terms of Service and
Guidelines, which may include some of the following: advertisements;
spam; copyright infringement; adult materials posted in the wrong
category; or selling guns, knives, etc. Please note that this is not a
comprehensive list of potential Yahoo! Auctions violations.

You may wish to review the Terms of Service and Auction Guidelines.
This information can be found at:

http://auctions.yahoo.com/html/guidelines.html

http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/

Please be aware that any subsequent violation of these Terms of Service
could result in termination of your Yahoo! user ID, so please read the
Terms carefully.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Regards,

Customer Care"

Which leaves me thinking: Thanks a million yahoo for the personalized response, so much for them telling me what SPECIFIC RULES I broke...
