I had first PayDirect payment on Oct 3. On Oct 4 I had it sent to my checking account and it hasn't been received yet. I sent a message to customer care and they want me to call CA from CT so they can "walk me through it." It will probably be a 25.00 call for a 9.00 item.
Has anyone had this problem and how was it solved?

I withdraw my funds to my debit card rather than straight to the bank account. Never had a problem, and have always been posted to my bank account within 1 day. As far as the phone call goes, check out http://www.dialpad.com.

helnjoe - I am sorry that you're having trouble and hope that you get it untwisted quickly and easily. I also betcha that longer term you will have regret NONE that you signed on.

The thing about Yahoo is that you don't OUTgrow it. It is so vast and far ahead that you are constantly growing INto it and I gotta tip my hat to that. It is kind of like the road's been built and it leads to infinity.

VM--- say, that's great info re Yahoo free calls. I have Dialpad - but it sounds like double talk on the other end. I called back east, and my sister had me on the floor laughing cuz what I said was " Wow ! Isn't---reat? --can---you--- ---I----want" She has to fill in the missing words. We just crack up - cuz she said - well guess it's free, but you are only getting it "half price"!!LOL LOL)

I'm off to check out Msgr....

ioughta - Yahoo is teamed with net2phone which has the premier technology. Voice is coming to the web, we are all going to click2talk before long in every scenario imaginable.

Net2phone is also teamed with ATT, Microsoft, Netscape, on and on and on every big name you can think of - AKA - it's commmmmming....

helnjoe, I am having the same problem. I transferred the amount to my bank account and it hasn't made it yet.

I have had two paypal payments posted to my bank account since this yahoo! paydirect payment. Paypal has always been slow getting to my account, so I was hoping that paydirect would be faster, but so far it is even slower. I don't know where that deposit is, I guess it is floating around somewhere in cyber space.

If you transferred it, I don't know what they could need to "walk you through". I know I don't need "walked through" anywhere, I just wonder how long this whole process takes. At this point I don't know when I will ever see that deposit.

I am going to check out the yahoo messenger service. I didn't know about that. Thanks Very Modern!

ioughta - the quality is still affected by a users computer system. I have had connections clear as a bell and others with a slight delay, but nothing like 5 years ago the first time I tried this on PowWow or whatever it was. I am not using any kind of headset, just the built in microphone in my computer. If I began to use more routinely I would get a headset, or something they have now called Yap phone (I think that's the name) which at Best Buy and the like.

Besides the free domestic, Int'l calls are very cheap, to call the UK is 5 cents a minute, London specifically is 4 cents!

Here is the straight net2phone website in case anyone wants to explore the int'l calls.

I broke down and decided to just call customer care at PayDirect and get it over with. I lucked out by not having to wait to speak with someone and a very nice young lady told me that it takes 7 working days to transfer the money and with the holiday on the 9th, that added an extra day to the process. But my money is in my checking account and all is right with the world again - except for my IRS audit.

VM--I LOVE DIALPAD! Woohooo!

I tried Net2Phone, but it just didn't seem to work with my cable connection.

I tried PhoneFree and it stated that it wouldn't work with cable connections.

And a friend and I used to use PowWow's voice chat! What a hoot! We love the sounds though! ROFL

Oh and I bought the headset and the adapter so that I don't have to unhook my speakers to use the headset. It really helped the people I was talking to. Before the headset, they were hearing echos and it drove them nuts! Of course, some of the relatives....well....

"Can anyone explain why 7 days to wire xfer funds? Doesn't seem Kosher."

Really don't know on that one. But if you have a debit card for your bank account, you can use that and the funds are usually posted to your account in less than 1 day.

ioughta If you want to see your account, sign into Yahoo auctions. Then choose "options".

Scroll down under "seller options" to "Enable Yahoo! PayDirect" and click on that.

You will see a screen that will allow you to enable PD on all of your auctions with the little icon next to your auction in the listings.

Also, the new banner provided by Yahoo! is there along with the html coding to insert it into your auctions.

But the first line is "Access your Yahoo! PayDirect account". When you click on
the "Yahoo PayDirect" clickable link in that sentence, you will be taken to your "security key sign in area". Enter your security key--which is different than your Yahoo! password and you are in! If you have forgotten your security key word, it has a link to get a hint for it. You must be signed into Yahoo! auctions before you can sign into your PD account. Good luck!

ioughta - you can use Net2phone puter to phone - through Yahoo messenger it is free any domestic number.

On the problems signing up for Paydirect, I did not experience any so I don't know what to say. A lot of people have complained about the same error (also being hung up on the 3 numbers on the back of their cc) and I wish one of them who got it resolved would post to let us know how the broke through. I imagine that it is a temporary problem, they are so common with Yahoo, and if you try later it will go through.

There is another bug when you try to send a bill via either the auction page or the link in the email. You have to specify shipping and when you do, you get an error that the amounts do not match. There is a work around for this one, you can just "request payment" from your account page which does work super smoothly, but still I would like to use the links.

In spite of the bugs, I still think that Paydirect is the way to go, particularly for the Yahoo seller. I have just opened an online acct with UsaBankshares who are teamed with Yahoo and am moving my Paydirect money there because they let you pay bills online FREE.

Talk about super cool, when you are setting up you just type the name of the creditor, like "city of blah blah electric" and if another user has already set up to pay the biz it will pull all the address info and all you have to do is enter an account number. US West was in their database, so was Voice Stream, but I was the first to enter my cities utility company, and it gave me a bit of a thrill. 1 million people live here.
