May have discovered a "bidding glitch" here. All the time I have listed, I chose "0" rating + to keep down deadbeats. We ALL know this didn't work. NOW, Yahoo suggests we choos "0" so that ALL bidders can bid -- is this double dutch or am I seeing double??========read it more than once =========which is it???============

YAHOO TEXT=This option determines the minimum rating that bidders must meet before bidding on your auction. Default is 0 -- this means that bidders with a negative rating will not be able to bid on your item. Please note that all bidders, no matter what their ratings, must enter a valid credit card before being able to bid on any item. If you want anyone to be able to bid on your item, regardless of rating, set this Minimum Bid Rating to none.
=========================================
Now, in "hindsight" it appears to me that if we ALWAYS had chosen "0" rating, we were BLOCKING bidders who had a neg from -1 to infinity --but I certainly got bidders with many negs then anyway, right?
My question is, even tho I am a scrupulous seller, "I" got 2 negs from the same nut who made all sort of "untrue"neg claims about me. What does this all mean? It means if you chose "0" then, I COULD NOT have bid on auctions, right??( I never do anyway)
It has occurred to me #1 that, this is A BIG MISTAKE. We are blocking some very good people who could got negged, even tho they were in the right, right?? Now, I don't have any idea what % this would represent in loss of bidders, but if you read the above carefully, IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE!!

yahoo has always recommended setting a 0 so that all bidders can bid.

and if you have more negitive feed back then positive yes you have 0 feed back next to your name to avoid new and 0 feed back buyers you alway set this ceiling higher.

or lower so if you set to -1 or -2 no one with more then one or two negs can bid on your auction no matter how many positive feed back they have, setting +1 or +3 means no one with less then 1 or 3 positive feed back can bid but doesnt mean they dont have many negitive feed back

some one with a +3 now could have had +100 last month and now have -97 and still show +3 it always worked this way its not new at all.

so 0 will get you all bidders the pluss numbers dont gartentee your bidders dont have millions of negs only setting a -1 or what ever will get you buyer with less neg feed back.

take this I am a seller on yahoo I have 85 sales and buys on yahoo from 28 different people I have two negitive feed back

so if you set your ceiling at -2 even though I have a postive 26 showing next to my name I cant bid your auction.

even though you think this will help avoid dead beats what you really did is just block a very active buyer and seller on yahoo from bidding on your auction since I have never been neged as a deadbeat ever

if you set your ceiling at +1 or +4 you get no new buyer or sellers ever bidding but even deadbeats have many positive rateings I know people on yahoo with -200 that still have over a +4 so if you go the pluss side you catch more long time users with many neg feed back.

dman--- thanks

So, in the past, my choice of 0 was correct. Now, using either NONE or 0 is simply a choice of all bidders or "specified"

I sure hope all the sellers knew this, cuz I didn't pay it enough attention/analysis....I stand (((sit))) corrected and I get it now!
