I was just reading up on the "Options" available with Bulk Loader. Is using Auto Extension advisable? Pros and cons, please.

Pros: It allows for extension of your auction to allow a bidder who might get outbid at the last second, to respond with a higher bid, thus bringing a higher price.
Cons: Some "snipers" refuse to bid on an auction where auto-extend is "on", therefore you might lose the bids of these individuals.
Also, all your auctions would not end at the same time, if someone placed a bid in the last few minutes.
George It's easy to "knock" a program....a lot harder to come up with a BETTER solution.

Unless you are selling a really hot item, it probably doesn't matter since most auctions on Yahoo close with only 1 bid anyways.

If one has a "hot auction" it's an excellent feature and I've seen it work as intended.
Totally pointless for the vast majority of yahoo! auction postings.

I don't normally get many last-minute bids, but the last time I did, the auto extension didn't work. I usually use it just in case, but so far it hasn't helped me.
